air shifter compressors
had a crappy tonight at the track, my compressor went out, blew the cap out that has a spring in it that lets the piston get air. so i had bought one of those $30 deals for autozone a while back, and we put it on and the hose that is attached to the compressor that runs to the bottle busted 3 times.... POS. a brand new hose. i was only running 140 psi, but to the point... what kind of hoses come with the compressors that for example mps sells? should i go ahead and bit the bullet and get one of their compressors? or where is the best place to buy one? thanks in advance

looking at mps website, their pic shows the wheel on the compressor not having a cover, that will cause problems with where it is (next to the battery)

so my 1lb bottle wont work now...
also noticed pingels compressor looks big and bulky, but no external moving parts, but i dont think it will fit under the tank, in the battery box with the air kill piece too...

Ok, Wheelie wins. Don't consider C02, it sucks.
I'm going to go and set fire to my bike now...

lol... think i might go ahead and order the mps one. im sure it puts out more air than the autozone ones, and it dosent have a soft hose made onto the compressor itself, and i wont keep having a busted line. i have the bottle so i can pump it up with a external pump, but that dont do me any good when i have the line bust..

Compressed air is good for when you need moisture in the system.

Well, even though it goes against Wheelie...consider CO2:
1) 9 oz bottle is under $20...150-200 shifts. You can keep 5 spares for the cost of one nitrous bottle...and they are small and light.
2) Regulator is $120 or less.
3) Most of my local tracks don't have nitrous on test and tune days..if I get a leak, I would be done with a single nitrous bottle.

I got tired of ruining the valve stem in the co2 bottles, and popping plastic lines, some people have very few problems

We run C02 on my 14 and our Turbo...no issues to speak of.
I wll be going to a nitrous setup...but not until I install the nitrous for the engine. No use in having the heavy, big bottle on the bike until then. At least for me...

you can run the line from your switching valve, (solenoid) to a regulator (I have the carolina cycle one)
here is an MPS reg.
then i have an MPS pinvalve coming off the regulator (pictured in 10377).
i use the small Crossman co2 backup cartridges sold in packs of two at wallyworld.
