Data logging & Self Tuning

Fella's, I'm looking for the most reliable wideband with data logger. What has been your experience? I also need some advice on the following scenario:

-Bike will be back from the dyno with a "safe map" running 9 psi with 9.5:1 CR. Will already have fuel press and boost gauges installed

-Nearest Dyno is 700 miles away so self mapping will be a must, and will be my first stab at doing my own real time tuning.

-Looking for a reliable and easy to use tuning product that can take a/f, tp, rpm, boost, and timing into account.

-When it's all said and done would also like to be able to switch maps from street to kill with a toggle switch.

-Visible a/f gauge needs to be included also.

-Called Bazzaz and they told me there ZF1 line of products will target a predetermined a/f ratio and automatically suggest mapping adjustments based on data logging. Does anyone have experience with this?

-Initial dyno tune will be done utilizing PCIII so hardware compatible with, or at least not excluding the PCIII tuning interface are preferable.

-Is there hardware, or a combination of hardware that enables a rider to drive the bike on the street, log data and review/tweak after the fact? If so what am I looking at?

Apologies for the remedial questions. I've talked to Dyno Jet and Bazzaz and am not a whole lot closer to determining what I need. Thanks for any advice.

I don't really know much about bazzaz, but Greg at HPC is selling a
USED: Bazzaz ZFI & ZAFM for sale: $450.00 will work on 2006-2009 ZX-14
However, he lowered the price to $350 shipped, and I'm sure he'll go even lower. That's a pretty good deal for a Bazzaz. I'm always on the lookout for good deals.

Here's an LM1 for $230.99-- http://siliconestop.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=86 thats a killer price, and it will do pretty much what you're looking for. I recently bought one from those guys, and am going to do my own fine tuning with my Cycle-Logic kit as well. If you want to swap maps let me know.....might help us both out a little having a couple diff maps to compare/educate ourselves on What are you using to retard your timing?......and how much?
My e-mail is both_barrels@live.com if you need it

On 9.5:1 , and 9 psi you "shouldn't " need to pull any timing...
As long as it is 9 psi...
Kevin, check,to be sure, but I am pretty sure Bazzaz told me their "self tuner" which it isn't, youstill have to go in and update the suggested changes, pretty sure they told me it would likely not work with turbo, as it couldn't correct / read fast enough.

I wonder how JDC is making out with his bazzaz and the turbo ...

i've been having a bug every since i purchased my LC1 and thats is its reading richer A/F than what 2 dyno sniffers read .. i don't trust it ..but its something to at least have some info on A/F with .. i've made my maps off it and on a dyno we lost power when dynomap was finish 6hp ..

but i'm tuning by reading my plugs and logging the a/f readings my LC1 gives me ... and running AVGAS 100 LL

And i've work on some bazzaz's and its not what you need ...but buy what you want

I really had my doubts as to how well the bazzaz self-tuning set-up was going to work with a turbo........but JDC said so far its working pretty good and he's happy with it

You know it!
I am using a secondary set of injectors from Chris Jones, with his map in the microtec
and using the bazzaz on the primaries to control drivability....
The primaries will be the larger 08 models-40lbs, and the secondary 60lb injectors...
It will have lots of fuel!
