ceramic wheel bearings

I was told by a supplier that rear tire ceramic wheel bearings yields 3-4 hp(on dyno) .
Has anyone here had any personal real world experience with them and what is the true benefit of these high dollar bearings?

Thanks in advance,

I have them in my 06 but i have never ran any faster with them... I didn't see any extra MPH either ... The bike is easier to push around the pits ...

A buddy of mine has them on his 12R...very easy to push, no extra mph as far as I can tell...

They are for the person who either wants an easier bike to push...or is really looking for that last .001 second, or .1 mph. When I see people claim tenths and several mph...well, I don't think it is true.

I've got them on my Busa and it definitely rolls easier on the stands, but my ET/MPH didn't change at all. One of the reasons I don't have them on the 14.

So ..... if you run out of gas, pushing it to the gas station will be easier.

Agreed. Had them on my ZX-12 and the only thing they were good for was being easy to push....other than that, I didn't see squat on my ET's or MPH. And those were the race only ones without the dust seals. Still nothing!

I tested them on my wheels and personally spun them by hand. They definitely had less friction as they turned more revolutions then when spun with the stock bearings. Although not a scientic study, I was convinced and so was my mechanic who has been around bikes for 35 years.

As for the benefits of drag racing I do not know but would think they would help with a lower time. In Land Speed Racing, they definitely help. If you don't do either, a sticker on the side of your fairing will save you a lot of money--

Haha, that supplier saw you coming. I'm just glad you didn't order them without asking!
