Muzzy Customer Service
I emailed Muzzy's last night and gave them a list of all the bolt on parts that are on my 2007
ZX-14 I just got used and that I had purchased a used M14 exhaust system (Shane) and I needed a map with all my mod's.
This monring at 10 AM Dave Turner at Muzzy sent me a map and complete instructions on how to install, I know how to load a map but I thought that was Good Customer Service,
I talked to Shane today and he is sending me his custom map that he used with the Muzzy and he had his data logger on it to check air/fuel, I will install the map Shane was running and and race my friends 06 ZX-14 and see if it runs faster now. Good By slip on's, they lasted 8 weeks :-)

I wouldn't mind getting in on that map...Im running the M224-10 map after several maps from Muzzy that weren't right. The first one had huge power spikes and flat spots. The next one had the map tweaked but still wasn't smooth and I lost 20-30 HP between dyno runs last summer. If not this reminds me to get on the phone to Muzzy

When you had it on a dyno why did the tuner not fix the one you were running?

You can thank Brock for the great CS you got at MUZZYS.
Before Brock started giving his maps away, you would never get one for free.
In the past I usually needed a drink and a BC after dealing with Muzzys CS .
Most of there products are pretty good, but they don't stand behind their them.
CS sucked!
Has Muzzy started recommending the new pipe for the 06-07 bikes, or is it still JUST for the
08 up bikes? Anybody remember that BS? What versision of the digi-kill are we up to now?

I have have had several people requesting the Muzzy M14 map that I used this past season. I did not create this map; it was distributed by another Bikeland member. This map was created with a Wideband Commander.
Here is the downloadable map file. If your power commander firmware is a different version you will have to manually copy the fields into a new map. I had to do this, but I am not sure how many of your might, so I am putting it out here in original form:
M14 Map, No Flies, 06-07 ZX-14
Again, I did not create the above map. It was created by another user (I can't recall who that user is/was). I did log the a/f and it looked pretty good; the bike also ran well at the strip and Maxton.

Muzzy's tech rep on the phone advised me Before i purchased a M14 that if you have Fly's
out, their advancer at plus 4 degrees advance and a PCIII the M14 made the best power curve for a daily driver. for my 07. Who Knows,..... a saleman will always tell you their product Rocks :-).....Hey I was looking at a Brocks Gen 3 CF but I got such a Good deal from Shane I purchased the M14. This set up ran good on Shane's bike. Saved $$ on a tested system on a 07 and no worries about dips in air/fuel. Shane is a honest guy to do bussiness with, No Brainer for how I use my bike.

What rock have you been living under. I've been on so many bikes since 1984 it's sad, not going to list them all but we've all dealt with chips and maps since the day we could tweak them. THE only chip I ever paid for with over 14 different bikes was a chip for my matche John Hacket 54mm exhaust from England.
Every other chip/map has ALWAYS been free. Maybe you should just thank Brock's for not raping you like so many other dealers had apparently done in your past.
After I wrecked my 08 ZX-14 I was placing another order for a new system on my 09, Dave at Muzzy's had the thing boxed and shipped with tracking number before I even put my credit card number int he website. THEN, he said send back the rashed M14 and they'll re-badge it and make it look pretty again, FOR FREE.
Muzzy's aint perfect, the only perfect guy was nailed to the cross many year ago. You don't think Brocks suffers from bad CS at times? Take a look at Brocks forums and notice the long ass response time for posts of folks having questions. It gets even worse inside the private forums too.
Muzzy and Brocks both give excellent service to us Zx-14 riders, dont put one up on a pedestal when the other has a bad day ... it's called life.

I know that in my experience with brocks I have shot an e-mail out and always gotten a response back faster than expected. Hell, I asked a question at 10pm pacific time on new years eve and within 45 minutes got a response back from a blackberry. So far, I haven't needed to ask a question in the forums. Chances are if I have a question i'll post it in here and smokin will get to it before I can hit send lol.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.
living under a rock, with a chimp, and getting raped.
What does that have to do with Muzzys customer service?
Are you tying to tell us something? crying out for help?
I have met Brock at the track, he wouldn't know me if I walked in his shop today.
I asked about replacement springs for a used pipe i recently purchased.
He handed them to me and said don't worry about it. great customer service.
Brock offers FREE maps with his pipes. You can call and talk to BROCK.
Brock has a web site where he helps his customer go faster.
Brock came out with new pipes and offers upgrades to the old sytle.
Brock is at the track with the grass roots racers.
The few concerns I seen on the internet about a brock product has been addressed quickly.
I called muzzy ask about the NEW bearing they had that supports their zx12 Lock-up
to help prevent the tip snapping off. I get questioned where did I hear that?
Who I bought the lock-up from? After much checking they finally agreed to sell me
one. I didn't ask for a free upgrade, why did it matter where I heard about it or who I
bought it from? Why would they keep the upgrade a secret? LOL
When muzzy came out with the 1361 the first batch of cranks where trash!
I have a very good friend that had crank die during the 500 mile break-in TWICE!
Muzzy offered to sell him another crank at full price.
We found the the cranks were not ground right, sent to another crank shop no more problems. Word is that muzzy switched their crank work to another shop. WHY?
Why not help their customers who they sold the crappy cranks?
Same thing with the digi-kills they are dying all over the place , what will muzzy do for you, sell you another at full price? MPS has lifetime warranty.
When I build my first 1361, I called and asked for a map.
they told me "you need to get on a dyno and build a custom map for your bike" .
Muzzy came out with a new pipe for the 08 zx14 and don't recommed it for the older bikes
ever when the bike are almost exactly the same. I think that's because they still had some old sytle pipes in the warehouse, and would rather rip the customers than discount them.
I'm so glad Brock has come to help the Kawasaki's I wish I had more bike money.
When you crawl out from under that rock with Rob and that chimp maybe you too will learn what good customer service is all about.
good luck and enjoy.

Are you saying the used M14 I just purchased has the same taper header pipes as the M10? Why do You not recommed the M14 on a 2007 ZX-14?
This M14 was on another members 2007 that went 191 at the Mile Race and runs mid 9's.
The Muzzy site has 3 full systems for a ZX-14.
The old style head pipes( you posted about) are they the Non M10 and the M14 that is listed as the third system does not list a M code. I have looked and read about the M systems and for the
ZX-14 the M14 is the only one with Larger Tapered Head pipes..( listed in Detals)..........I will call and ask Dave if the M10 is the same tapered head pipe as the M14 or???
I would be upset too if I spent major coin on crank and they were not to spec. Rebuilding a complete engine for buying a Bad crank would Fry me too. But I am asking about the Exhaust,
