A little test and tune tonight......

Our track has closed down on fridays because of A low car count for bracket racing .. so inplace of the bracket progam they are trying a street type test and tune night ...Well it may not last long either because the car and bike count was very low also ...I wanted to go because the air was SO GOOD , low 50s and very dry air for FL ... We only get one or to times a year with this kind of air , so even if you freez your ass off it worth going .. With the cold air comes the problem of getting the bike to hook on a cold track ..But you have to take a chance just in case you can hook it ... Tonight Ladies got in for free so i took wifey with me , but she was bored and spent her time writing something that i will tell you about a little later ..

All my passes were in the 5.60s with my best of the night a 5.62 @ 128.49 with a 1.39 60 foot time ..The track gave up and started spinning about 8:00 oclock .. So we loaded up and headed home ..Then i found out what my wife had been doing for the last 3 hours ...She was writing a poem ... It's no longfellow or wadswoth but it pretty good for the short time she had to write it and she knows nothing about racing ...( She hates it to tell the truth ) anyway here it is ...

As i get ready to go to the track, I say a prayer that i'll make it back ..

For racing motorcycles can be a lot of fun, it can also be dangerous , when all is said and done ..

I put on my leathers, shoes and helmet, I make ready the bike for that special moment,
I go down the track as fast as i can, in hopes to beat the other man.

It's not really racing man to man, it's racing myself to see if i can make every pass as fast as i can .

For each pass gets better and faster , I know this racing I will have mastered, untill someone younger and faster comes along , and leaves me and my cycle in the dust all alone ..

But untill that day comes , I'll be out evey week racing down the track, my cycle and me ,,,,

You weren't the only one taking advantage of the good air. I ran my quickest pass ever tonight, 8.745. I was running MR9, but nonetheless the air was crisp, -1600 ft corrected denstiy altitude, 30% humidity and 30.05 inches on the barometer. Temperature was around 40 degrees, and the track was amazing. A few passes I was standing it up and had to shift early, and thats at 69" wheelbase. Too bad we can't have this air all year long.

60' - 1.352
330' - 3.633
1/8 - 5.575
MPH - 125.73
1000' - 7.729
1/4 - 8.745
MPH - 152.49

We thought about heading out there last night Smokin but we wound up staying at home and watching a move (which I fell asleep though lol).
I was told from the GF that she wasnt riding anywhere last night, guess she froze her ass off on the way home from comming to see you guys Wed night... Was nice seeing you guys Wed night, kinda of a lame run night but wasnt your guys fault was a nice ride there and back either way...

Tell the wife nice poem....

I couldn't get the wife out of the house. Spent the night finishing my radiator install. Installed the stiffer spring in the rear shock this morning. Installing the lockup right now. Tell the wife the poem is pretty good.
