trading my zx 14
i plan to swap my zx 14 2006 to a zx 14 2009 .in my country the zx 14 are very rare i cannot speak to any zx 14 owner.is there somewone that can speak to me about the + and - of the 2009 vs 2006. my 2006 got 47000 miles on it only street riding.thank you.bruno

I would say that one plus is that it doesn't have 47000 miles on it lol. What do you have done to your 06 right now? If it still has the flies in then you'll notice that the 09 has a lot more hit down low.

The 09 is an 06 +3 and that's about all. I traded my 06 for an 08 and really, no difference at all, except color/trim. Oh, ya, my 08 runs hotter than my 06, which is probably nothing more than an issue on this bike.

The 09 has a different ecu, different injectors, different fuel pump, different emissions, improved cam chain tensioner, the secondary butterflies open sooner, and a different type of frame casting. That is just off the top of my head....

what i have done to my zx 14 2006:slip on pc3 gone replace with a motty afr tuner. custom bar riser 1.5 inches flies out bmc air filter puig windshild air injector removed for the motty afr tuner.bruno

I sure wish motty would make one fast enough for a turbo application.
