Maps

Getting ready to get the flies out and PC. A few questions:

How are the maps from dynojet, muzzy, brocks ect?
Should i pay more for the PC to get custom maps?
In short how big a deal are the maps, and whose you use?
Thanks in advance.

2006, flies out, stock air filter, stock exhaust.

I use a brocks map with his gen3 exhaust, bmc race filter, PC3.

I haven't taken it to a dyno yet, but the brocks map makes my bike feel a hell of a lot faster, and I can see by the way that the exhaust is burning that the bike is running damn near perfect.

I'm still going to have it checked and tuned though, just to be positive

If you plan on racing and running the drag strip or getting the most power out of your bike its important. If your just want more power and and a better sound via slip on's , the somewhat generic maps you find on dynojets site should get you by.

So looking on ebay and some other sites it looks like i could get a PC3 for as low as $280 but that would be with maps from the dynojet site or maybe from a ZX-14.com member. Is it worth while to pay extra and get the PC3 through brocks in order to get his mapping. It make sense that one would want the best map you can get in order to maximize the PC3 and flies out mod. Am i overthinking this? How about the OEM air filter, seems like most say it is not all that bad.

Yes its worth it for brocks maps.

Maps are where you don't want to skimp on.

OEM Air filter isn't all that bad, I just prefer the BMC race filter.

I believe you will need to purchase a full system through Brocks before you will be eligible for the map support. You will want to double check with him to make sure what you will get with the PC3 purchase.

You are correct, checked with Brocks and they only have maps for their exhaust, which they supply with purchase.
