New Sprocket Question

Got the new 16t front sprocket from Kawi, stock is 17t, have not installed it yet but isn't dropping down in teeth going to gear the bike up and slow down acceleration but give better top end? Especially when I am 325lbs.

Just the opposite. Gearing down on the countershaft sprocket will give better acceleration and not as much top end.

Nope you have it backwards........going down on teeth in the front will gear it down and give you more acceleration, but less top end. Going up in the rear does the same thing.

Going up in front will give you less acceleration but more top speed. Going down in the rear will do the same.

It is kinda confusing at first

give up the quest for topend, especially at 300+...... I am 370-ish, trust me on this one

go 16t tooth in the front and 43t in the rear

I went to my kawi dealer and asked for the 16t "rubberized" front spocket and the parts guy didn't know what I was talking about. Can anybody help?
