There were a few members on here that had to have the motor removed to get the 'crack' checked, and a few needed new frames. I believe most did not have any problems. Most of the dealerships have done the frame recall enough times by now that it is pretty easy for them to do. While mine was in I also had them change the tires... that made them happy because they were able to make some money on the time they spent on the recall. My bike was fine and it just took one day. There is a thread on here where people not only posted their experience but there was also a 'vote' choosing how their bike turned out. It really was no big deal. If they have to tear it down.. I guess it is better than wondering if you have a crack or not.

Dropped mine off in April. Didn't get it back until early July. Red tape and poor service was my demise. Motorcycle Mall in Belleville, NJ will never intentionally get my bike again. They also put a ding in my tank. Told me to bring it back in the winter for them to swap it out. I told them just order the tank and I will put it on myself. Other than that my bike is running and handling great.

yep 06 07 models...there's a thread somewhere on here that shows the recall letter from KHI. It's on the lower crossmember and cracks are hidden by the engine. checking the torque will reveal the next proceedure. I received my letter right after registering the bike. It states do not ride the bike....(866 )802-9381 toll free Kawasaki Motors in CA.

I decided to ride the shit out of it all summer and surrender it in the winter months. since I lived through it, I dont regret it.

The whole frame this was overhyped. Very few bikes were overtorqued and even fewer had cracked frames. Much ado over nothing
