My ZX14 Dyno Numbers
I dynoed my ZX14 with Brocks Smeg with Baffle, Flies Out, BMC Filter, Pwr Cmdr, 93 Pump Gas, on a dynojet 250i, 90 degree day, in a non air conditioned garage. My bike with Brock street map (Brocks street maps based 89 Octane) put out 172 Horespower to the rear wheel. I have a 40 shot of nitrous with a single nozzle in the ram air tube as far up front as I could get it. With the map richened up for the Nitrous I did a motor run again & it put out 169 at the back wheel. On the spray the bike had a 12.4 air fuel ratio & put out 215 horespower. Went to Williford Racing & dynoed with the temp, & everything else virtually the same. He also uses the dynojet 250i & produced 167 with the nitrous map on his dyno, but could not beleive the nitrous run produced 214 horespower number twice on another dyno. I did two dyno's to see how much difference it would be, but it doesnt look like much, Just thought I would share that.

Sounds good to me ... 172 plus ram air + 182 ... You will get a little more power with the track map but it may not show on the dyno .. But it will show on the strip ... You also will pick up a few HP running 89 over the 93 .... But i would not spray on the 89 ....
How many miles on the bike ....I have seen them pick up 7 to 8 HP with more miles ...Tonys bike picked up from 171 to 179 with 1500 extra miles ...

Track Map
Smokin what fuel do you use with the track map, I was told all the track maps were with race fuel & not pump gas, What have you had the best luck with.

I ran high 8.80s with the track map on 87 pump gas ... With MR9 and the track map it has gone high 8.70s...

Take the baffle out, run 89 octane and dyno it on a cooler day. I'm betting 177 on that same dyno easy.

Dyno Reading
I wonder when I see some of the high dyno numbers if there possible. There is no person out there that builds engines that will promise you a dyno number on someone elses dyno. I have seen bikes that are suppose to be 200 plus horspower at the rear wheel on the builders dyno read as low as 179 to 185 on someone elses. I have never got the dyno readings I read about from any of my bikes and I have had 4 busa's, GSXR1000, & the ZX14. I have dynoed 3 ZX14's on this dyno, Mine was the first to get into the 170's if that answers your question. I have never produced the numbers other people talk about. However having been around engines all my life, I realize that you optimize your air fuel ratio for your engine, Once you do this, It is what it is. I want say the well known builder, But one time my buddy had cams put into his bike along with some other so called secret mods. We both had busa's, The builder gave him a dyno sheet showing 179 to the rear wheel. Went the next day to another dyno, My bike with similar mods without cams made 3 more horesepower, and his reading was 15 horespower less than the builders. Does that builder build some fast bikes, Yes, He has had some of the fastest in the area. The new busa with 3 mil kit, headwork, & cams are suppose to be 230 to 240 at the back wheel, I will have one next year with those mods, Am I expecting those numbers, Hell No. When you talk to the builder before he will tell you 240 at the back wheel, When you call him back afterwards, He will tell you at the engine.

all I know is I made 172hp baseline on a 93 degree day with some good ol 60% southern humidity with a muzzy m10 exhaust, k&n filter and power commander. Thus was done on a dynojet dyno. After the guy made me a custom map I put out 184.6 after about a hr long session of several dyno runs while he was mapping the bike. Flies are still in and no TRE. I just ordered velocity stacks and a 008 TRE from schnitz racing to bump me up a little higher. How much do you think we loose on hp without ram air??? Also great site and I'm glad to be here. I'm on my phone at work so sorry if my post seems worded funny. LOL

without the ram air effect, the numbers can drop by 10-30. Someone once told me my stock 164hp can be pushed to 200 if i want by jus forcing the air into the intake. correct me if i'm wrong.

KHI Ram Air is usually only worth a Max of 8%. That is with the system TOTALLY sealed!
