Tether kill switches???
are all tether switches the same, or do i need to get one specifically for street bikes? The local drag strip here requires that i have one to run if my bike goes faster than a 7.00 so it looks like i'll be installing one lol. Can i run the same kind that you put on a dirtbike? That's all that they have at the shop here.

this is the one i got, i think it looks clean.IMO

it simply replaces the front brake bracket / no need to find a spot to install

ps: i put a couple pics up of the lean angles in the "New pipe and Tire thread"

Most 2strokes use a tether that closes(grounds) the circuit to stop the motor, you want one that opens(removes power from) the circuit when needed(put it inline with your ON/OFF thumb switch).
There's anything from MPS or MPE to Pingel. I prefer the Pingel myself because of mounting abilities & activation & quality of the product, but they are bulkier to most people and certainly more expensive.
Sorry about the specimens to choose from here, haven't got to own a Kawasaki in a very long time(yet).

Any Sport or HD shop can help, and there's bound to be sponsors here that can put what you need in your hand in a day or two.

NO you cant use the same one as a dirtbike! just made the same mistake a couple weeks ago. there are 2 kinds, one for magneto (dirtbike) and one for battery (our street bikes). if you want to check to see if it will work on your bike before you cut any wires, the switch must be "on" when the teather is on it, and the switch shuts off when you pull it off. find a battery and a test light to test. if its the right kind, cut one of the wires going to your factory kill switch, and place the teather inline with it. for the bike to run, the factory switch must be on aswell as the teather, and either one will shut the bike off
have fun at the track!
damn you guys type fast lol i thought i was going to be the first reply
