sad part is, I purchased teh camera mount for the sole reason that I was witnessing at least one dump a weekend.....we had 2 this weekend. This kid and a guy that bought a used 07 busa with all the goodies already installed. He rapped the throttle and the bike lurched, spun sideways, and took off towards the curb.....never seen a busa do 3 barrel rolls....until today. Was off my bike and the camera was off or I would had caught it too

target fixation was my vote....
didn't know the kid....him and his froup joined our group about 1 mile before this.....
he was okay...a little grass rash....trashed fairing....got talked to funky and their group didn't continue to ride with us....
what you couldn't hear in the video that I heard and seen was the kid locking, releasing, locking, releasing, locking, releasing his back brake before hitting the curb....
he jumped up and tried to say someone cut him off, then I told him I had it on video....what a tool........

Agreed, They teach you things like this in training school. Normally your bike will follow your eyes so if you have something in the road or need to avoid, don't focus on that but where you want your machine underneath you to go. I still think they should pass a law that requires you to take some Motorcycle trainig in order to be license. With today's economics, I can only predict more novice on the road... I 'm sure many will have to suffer before legislature steps in..
Fifth- good summary, what a tool.......

Sad to see, good that he didn't got seriously injured. I know that it is summer time in USA, but I saw few of the other riders wearing t-shirts , are you guys reinforcing the use of jackets, boots, gloves, etc. in regards of people who ride with you? (I've noted that you were wearing gloves & jacket).
Regards,
David

Kikon- nothing here in the USA mandates that you have to wear protective clothing. You can ride a bike in a speedo if you wanted to, however you might get a bit more honks or cars swerving in front of you:bandhead. I know sometimes(I mean sometimes), I might fine myself crusing up to the store with shorts/tee shirt on. But I'm so paranoid that I might have a small/large spill and pay dearly for it. So I've invested in 2 pairs of everything(except helmet) to support summer riding and winter riding.

Was I the only one who cringed at the fact that this badazz 14 was siting in neutral?
It's like watching a scary movie and you know the killer's hiding in the shadows and no matter how loud you yell, they can't hear you through the screen!!!!
Or maybe like. . . . . . watching a new GEICO commercial for motorcycles. . . . .

If your watching one or two dumps a weekend you need to start riding with a different crowd. Sooner or later someone's going to take you out!

You noticed I was riding in the back with only 2 bikes behind me.....I ride in the back because I don't want to get hit from behind by an idiot.....seen that toooooo many times.
Plus, riding the big bike in the back tends to take some of the peer pressure off the younger more impressionable guys......they want to ride with the big dogs, and if the big dog is taking it slow, then alot of times they will too.

+1
for all you wrote above.
I avoid large crowds of unfamiliar riders, and when I do join a big group, I ride the back of the pack.
That said that vid was damn funny! LOL
