Fallout of the "Frame" debacle: no exh. gaskets available!

Got my Muzzy M10/M14 exhaust combo last week, set up a time to install it along with some other parts I've been hoarding at a friends garage/workshop, and went out to get the last part I needed: exhaust gaskets. No Luck Anywhere!

I checked ALL of Snohomish and King Counties (including Seattle), the two largest counties with millions of people, and only ONE dealer had 2 gaskets in. The main Kawi dealer in the state (Bellvue Kawasaki) was amazed he was out since he carries a dozen sets normally, so he looked into it and told me "All the dealers have been snapping them up, because of all the engine out inspections going on now. The aftermarket is empty, too, even though only OEM parts are supposed to be used on a recall like that.

The best I can do is order through Kawasaki, who is on backorder themselves.

Expect 2-3 WEEKS for arrival." 2-3 friggin weeks?!?! I'm so damn tempted to use my 5000 mile originals it aint funny! And I just know they would leak like a sieve. Goddamned recall strikes again.

which reminds me: you Canadians, since your recall just started, can I talk on of you into overnighting a set to me? Bet you still have them available!

Here's the deal: Anybody who can overnite them to me, give me the dealers name/number I'll pay for them with CC, then drop $50 into your PayPal account to cover overnighting and your gas and time. Any takers? I can't friggin wait 2 more weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm serious here! I've got some big trips planned in the next two weeks, involving 'Busa's and a horde of guys on newer litre bikes, and I want my bike to at least keep them behind me. Can you imagine my horror to pass guys on litre bikes in the corners only to have them pass me on the straights?!?! Oh the shame!

I got 5K on my stockers steve. Tempted to do it anyways, but dont like doing secondary maintenance on ANYTHING because I didnt do it right in the first place. Call me a "seasoned" backyard mechanic.

NCZX14 $50 do it for them then? I only feel comfortable using PayPal though. Or if you own or work at a shop that will do it with the credit card. Interested?

I'm gonna say reuse them also. The only reason I have a set in my box was in case they leaked when I reused them.

You might want to check with the dealer again. Last time I checked, mins ago, there were plenty of exhaust gaskets in stock. Hate to see you chasing all over the continent for something like that.
