Bawls, please share your launching technic as your bike looks quite stock (mine also, but Yoshi's ). I was wondering about not doing a wheelie at launch.
Thanks

That was at redline raceway in caddo mills texas (between greenville and dallas) to be perfectly honest with you, I had to stop paying attention to my tach on launch because I was over thinking it and either wheelying or bogging. I just ended up getting up there and launching like I had to learn to do on my banshee with no tach. My 60 ft times weren't too good, but I'm sure that they'll get better with a little ass time. I don't think that it was all that bad considering that it was my first time to ever run on a track. Best time was a 6.76 @ 112, and my 60ft time was a 1.71 with most of them in the low to mid 1.7's. My goal is to get them down a lot more on my next trip out. I know that the bike is capable of a lot more than what I'm able to push it to right now. Does anyone know of any good tracks in so. California? The one at qualcomm stadium in san diego looks like shit to me and they won't let bikes run faster than a 6.00 (not that I can yet anyway lol ).

Bawls, judging by your responce above you did have fun and your times are informative for us that haven't drag raced but yet aspired by the chanllenges. Good luck in the future in reducing your times and ride safe!
