Back in business

Some time ago I was forced to get rid of the zx14 for personal reasons. I'm happy to say that I've returned to the family with a new 2008 SE and am happier than ever to be back on what is probably the best bike I've ever owned. In my journey back I did have the opportunity to ride the 2008 hayabusa and am happy to say that I made the right decision the first time and have done so again. The busa was nice but there was no percievable power difference to me and the riding position was a hands down winner to the zx14. Furthermore, the busa felt cheap to me. Don't know why as I'm sure it's a fine machine but the zx14 just felt of a higher quality. Needless to say I'm very happy. I was trying to sell my parts with the bike but ended up taking them back to the dealer as they were uninstalled and the did return them. Well, 5 months later my parts were still in a box just as I had left them!!! Go figure. I will be installing the Brock's alien head soon unless more of the M14 info leads me to change my mind. Any input would be helpful.

Welcome back .. I have heard the same thing for guys that had zx14s and traded for an 08 busa ..They ended up coming back to the zx14 for the same reasons you stated in your post ... The zx14 is just hard to beat .... I haven't seen any hard numbers on the new Muzzy m14 pipes but i know first hand what the Brocks alien head will do ..My guess both pipes will be very close in power and most will not be able to tell the difference... So it comes down to what looks and sounds good to you ...

Hey Smokin. Thanks for the welcome. Was just talking to someone about you today. They mentioned that it won't be long till stock bikes will be 8 secs off the floor and I said I know of a guy that already is. Granted you've got some mods but it's still a stock motor.
