16 Tooth Sproket

Just put on a 16 tooth, now its sounds like a semi truck on the highway. When throttling down it gets worse. Is this something I have to live with?

Sounds like you got a sprocket for a different sized chain. I've heard bikes that had a 520 sprocket with a 530 chain and it sounded like that, really loud. Better double check it! It'll toast your chain and rear sprocket really quick!

The 16 tooth doesnt have a rubber damper like the OEM 17 tooth does so it will make more noise and vibrate a little more particularly when new............if it bothers you that much you could always buy a new chain and put the stock 17 tooth back on and get a 44 or 45 tooth for the rear.......that is if you really like the ratio but dont like the noise or vibration

Thanks, I will give it some time to wear in. I will go to 17/44 if it keeps up. Great Idea!
