New 1/4 mile record!
While I may never get down to the low et's some of the people on here are attaining, I think I may have set a record that may stand for awhile. This past Friday, I managed to hot-lap 37 passes in 3 hours!!!! I averaged a run every 4 minutes (excluding having to leave the track once to go get more gas).
It had rained for 3 days straight previous to the street-legal event and I gambled that the weather would improve. I lucked out and the event was run - only me and about 8-10 cars showed up.
Outcome - personal best of a 10.0 at 140mph and one blown clutch! I felt it slipping but made another 3 - 4 passes anyway then limped it home. With just over 11,000 kms on the clutch before this torture test, I'm suprised the clutch lasted as long as it did that night!
I've got an 8 hour "test and tune" session booked for this coming Friday with stret-legal racing afterwards - maybe an opportunity for more! Time for some sponsors to step up - I'm not the fastest bike around, but you definitely get your advertizing dollar maximized when I'm at the track!!
