try a new set of plugs, i have heard they can wake the bike up

You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.

I have to say that all of the 06-07's at my track I run more MPH with my 09 with the same mods.

Are those guys the same weight as you? I haven't seen anything concrete to suggest that the 08-09's make more power in modified form....if I did, I would be inclined to make changes to my 07!
