Baby got her New Yoshimuras
Howdy,
Today I've received directly from New York (Ivan's Performance) my Baby's new Yoshimuras.
These are TRC Ti Yoshis, here's a view of the right one installed:

Now here's the difference of size and look between stock ones and Yoshi's

Here are both Yoshi's installed for display purposes, since I still have to drill the left side exhaust head so I can insert the rivet that secures the pipe. Most likely that'll be done tonight or tomorrow.

So then, and after cleaning the whole thing with alcohol (rub one not drink one ), I will start my Baby and hear her new "voice". Keep you posted, and hope you like
Best Regards,
David

+1
I installed the PCIII and brock's exhaust on my ZX14 and I'm not a mechanic either, motorcycles are all about the fun for me too.
I was glad to not break anything and it was a BIG deal for me too so I know exactly what you're feeling

Not yet Derpie. I'm thinking about not installing a PC, so most likely will go with SpeedoHealer + GI Pro w/ A TRE (from Heal Tech). Anyone knows this devices?

Derpie, as far as I know, the fuel/air mix is not yet affected since secondaries are still there, so no PC is needed at this point. There should be a little HP gain cus of less exhaust restriction.

David

you may benefti greatly from a mapped PCIII - the exhaust cans of the ZX14 is whre all the fuel emisions are contained, changing to slip-ons is a fairly significant change

Oh Booooy! Derpie, I'm not shure I can educate anybody. Many guys in this place really knows ATON! but not me......I'm a beginner.
Anyway, I will certainly keep you guys posted in regards on how does the bike behave with her new Yoshi's.
The first thing that you must decide is whether you keep the 4-2 exhaust config or if you go with a full performance exhaust (4-1). Of course and as seen in the pics, I went with 4-2 config as I love the look.
Tomorrow I'm planning to ride her with the new toys fully installed, so ....stay tuned!
Best Regards & Hugz,
David

you don't need a speedohealer with the gi pro... I think.?
The biggest reason i sent you to ivan is.... regardless whether ppl like him or his TRE, he works with yosh pipes and is a tuning WIZARD, same level as brock, different approach.
He is one of the only guys I know so dedicated to HP and drivability, which is what David is after. Not many tuners will machine their own needles!
Now, pull the flies, and a pc3, ivans map, tre-006 with speedo healer... you'll be set!
if you want to do it in stages just get the pc3 from ivan with his map, and no flies,
then buy the 006 (just for backfires and slight drivability improvement) and speedohealer to derestrict the speedo later.
have you ridden it near the limiter yet? are you changing the front sproket?
if you have bounced the speedlimiter lots, or changing gearing then I can undertsand the desire for speedohealer...

Hey kikon, I originally installed a GIPro ATRE before removing the flies. You will DEFINITELY want to get a PCIII on the bike after changing the cans. The ATRE won't require it since all it does is sets the bike to a factory map for high gear, but the cans will cause a slight lean situation. After experiencing both the ATRE and flies out I'd tell you without a doubt to save your money on the ATRE, put it towards a PCIII, and rip the flies out. It is THE easiest mod you can do and will make the biggest difference. If you installed the cans yourself, you can pull the flies, too.

Thanks guys, and Lyle you know that you're my guru, so I will follow your advises. Let me save enough money, and will continue to the next stage/step with Ivan. Thanks again for sending me to him. In the meantime I'm waiting for a fender eliminator (less dorky look...I know!) a DB windscreen, Joe Rocket Sonic 2.0 jacket, and some custom heel guards

i have the exact same pipes and ran them about two weeks before getting the power commander and pulling flies. w/ just the pipes there seemed to be a slight power increase in low and middle rpm and no backfire. w/o flies and p/c installed w/ muzzy slip-on/no flies map the bike was transformed into a wheelie monster. i have so little decel backfire that it is a none issue, she rumbles a bit but only pops from very high rpms and not all the time. i trade off with the only other 14 in town sometimes, a 07 with muzzy slip-ons and tre no p/c. the power is basically identical except his has a power surge at 6000 rpm that stands the bike up making it kinda sketchy in corners but i'm sure a p/c and proper mapping would cure that. the gear indicator also stays in 6 all the time but i believe there is cure for that now also.imo pulling the flies is the way to go because it's cheaper, performance is the same and the less you fuck with the electronics on this bike the better. on a side note his bike is also lowered which killed ride quality and handling plus it wheelies too easily
p.s. nice pics, bike looks great
