SpeedoHealer worth it?

Hi there gang,

I see Brocks sells a kit complete with the SpeedoHealer. Is it needed?

What function of the SpeedoHealer is the most desired ...

1. The Retard Timing Eliminator?
2. The accuracy gain in speedometer?
3. High speed memory?
4. Bigger gear indicator?

Just curious... Real world feedback from ZX-14 riders is appreciated.

I did, but I did not find a post or series of posts that answered the question I posed.

Also, the Google search feature for the forums sucks. I picked a thread that had unique keywords from over 15 days ago and the search feature did not find it.

most use it to correct for speed, after re gearing, and to remove limiter

for example 16/44 gears will hit the speed limiter at an actual 160 mph, when the speedo says 186 mph....

some of us just want to get 200 MPH too

doesn't affect ignition timing at all.

The search function can be useless at times, but its free. Its been discussed in depth before---do a search to find the thread J/K

I have a speedo healer--I wish I would have bought it sooner. I'm geared considerably different, and change gearing fairly often. I also use it to bypass the top speed limiter, hopefull I will get it above 186 at the texas mile one of these days.

Buy it from Brock, he contributes a LOT to this site & is a contributor for this site.

I would put the ability to overcome speed limiters as top of the list.

On the road I leave it in transparent mode.

At the track I set it to convert kph to mph. That turns the inner 300kph scale on the speedo into a 300mph scale but fools the ecu which does not limit the top speed in 6th gear. This is only any use of course if you are doing top speed runs and likely to exceed 186mph. I wouldn't have got to 205mph without this device.

LoL on the search button remark, your humor is appreciated especially with crappy work days like this.

Brocks is currently my number one contender for my exhaust package. I'm thinking I'll get the package deal he has with the Streeg Meg with the removable baffle. that way I can tone up or down depending ont he ride.

I think the Shorty Meg would be a bit too loud for my tastes.

i use the speedo healer to just have an accurate speed indication, the factory speedo is around 8% happy, oh yea unlimited speed is what the 14 is all about. any meg will do its about what you like, the short one might blast your passenger but i think it looks hot, any brocks pipe is the best investment you can make, it will make you need the healer even more have fun bro!

You can have an accurate speedo or ODO, but not both. However much you correct the speedo the ODO will be off. I did over 1000 miles straight(twice) - mostly highway so it really was mostly STRAIGHT and the ODO was super accurate with stock speedo error.

The correct mileage is achieve in stock trim....you adjust the speedo to be accurate and the mileage will be slower. Simple math.....why can people not understand this?
