THROTTLE STICKS WHEN COLD, WORKS FINE WHEN WARM
I have a small concern about my throttle sticking when it's cold. If I goose it a few time while cold it will stick. Once it warms up it works fine. Has anyone had this same experience? I don't see it as a mojor concern but I need to know if it is a problem to be later on. FYI: This is my first bike with an electronic choke. all my other bikes where manual so I'm not used to it all this new technology, lol.

One quick question... when you are, "goosing" it... are the handlebars all the way to the left, in the middle, or it doesn't matter which way they are turned.
I find it hard to believe that the throttle cable is 'sticking' since it is new(er). Especially when you mention that when the bike warms up it is fine. It almost sounds like you have a bit of a kink in the line when the bike is at rest... and when the choke is on, it allows the throttle to rev higher than normal... The set up might not have been done very well and your cable also may be a little too 'tight'.
On the other hand, if you have water in the throttle cable, it might also be the problem. There are many sprays that you can use to lube and clean the cable.
I am sure there will be a lot more input... but it is hard to tell without seeing the bike. Good Luck...

Considering that it's usually on it's kickstand when warming I guess it/s always when it's full left. I might look into tha spray to see if that clear it up. If not I will be just ordering a new one to have the peace of mind.

If the cables are adjusted too tight, or routed incorrectly this can happen.
Rarely do throttles hang up due to friction between tube and bar these days in clean environments, and I have washed mine many many times with pressure washer, and ridden in below feezing temps, without the cables showing any sign of freezing up.
If someone has adjusted all the slack, and then some out of your cables, and then it hangs up when the bars are turned,,, cables adjusted to tight.
The bike idles high until warm too.

Thanks for the info. I know that the electronic idle drops the idle when it warms up. The only thing I can honestly see is that there is a kink or the cable wasn't routed correctly at some point. I will just have to go through it to see. Does anyone just happen to have some pics of the proper routing? If not, I may have to hit the dealership for some answers.
