Need a cheap steering damper

I need a steering damper to pass tech at Prostar. Who has the cheapest one? They are all ridiculously priced. I've always felt the bike didn't need one so I want to spend as little as possible.

$369 for here, you wont find a new one cheaper.

I bought my damper(for my 12) thru these guys with no issues. Just remember, with this kit, you have to drill two holes in the neck. the kit Sideways posted is a plug-n-play. Both kits are good 2 go---and the two least expensive on the market.

Pete, I run my strap around the bottom t-clamp, 2 , 1 for each side. safer, stronger, cleaner...
no problem since straps are no where near the crown nut.

I don't think I could have done that with the stock fender though...

in the standard configuration, yes these dampers do get in the way a bit.

I don't have pics, the bike is torn right down, yes 2 straps, 1 over each lower tripple clamp.
allot of the guys run this set up on the literbikes( smaller fender)

$99 + $10 for shipping= $109.
Don't know, it just looks - not very confidence inspiring? Granted the 14 is not known whatsoever as a bike that really needs a damper. So you guys think that is more to satisfy the inspection techs versus actually save your ass?

I went ahead and spent the money on the Brock's kit. I figured I may as well buy a good one.

Scotts is the best IMO because of the low speed and high speed valve....no adjusting from city to freeway.

Only paid 385 for mine.
