This is some B.S!!!!!
What's going on everybody! Check this out! I finally got BABYGIRL back up and was excited about getting her to Houston to play with neil and the boys at the track! It took me all week to get parts but "Honda9001000" and I managed to get her up and running. I changed the clutch, added a new chain, put the Metzler Dragtech on, and installed the modified oil pan that HOTRODZX14 got me for Christmas. The oil pan was cut and the drain plug was redirected to the rear if the pan. Now she finally was good! I tested her at about 2 in the morning where she ran great. Pulled hard and shifted beautiful. Loaded her up on the trailer and Took her to WayneR1's house to install the tire and once again, no problems. That dragtech hooked great even on the street. Almost stood me up. We decided to take a ride to watch some street races (cars) and I pulled into the gas station, filled up. Everything was fine but when I cranked her again, A cloud of white white smoke shot out of the sidewinder. I was like Gooooood Lord! but shie cleared up. I turned around and tried to limp home very slow but got nervous and pulled over. I called Raymond and told him what was going on. Then I checked the bike over only to find that the pipe was coated in oil. Raymo told me that the motor was already hurt so try and ease home which was only 2 miles up the road! I went to crank it and the motor locked! I was like daaaamitt! So I put it in gear and snatched the bike backwards to see if I could free it up. She broke free and it cranked. I eased home at about 20 but it sounded as if a cylinder died. Now it is back on the trailor about to go to Raymo's house. I could mess with it yesterday cause I was too pissed and upset. I tell you it is sooo hard for the budget racer. Well back to saving up to build a bigger motor now! Hopefully I'll be one of the first to come up with a 7 sec 14 or at least pilot one! All I need is a capable bike and the rest is in my wrist. Well hopefully sombody can at least start stearing me in the right direction. So much for getting seen this season right!!!!!!! May change her name now. I never intended for my babygirl to be giving me this many head aches!

That sucks, hopefully you can salvage some parts.
Is this the original motor or did you do a rebuild over the winter?

+1 any knocking ?? Are you sure it's oil and not coolant ? I don't think oil would lock the motor up but coolant from a head gasket could .. Could be as simple as a head gasket ...You said the bike was down for mods ??? what mods did you do ??

No just changed the oil pan and pickup but from what they are saying there is a tube that was to be cut. Steddyteddy wrote on psychobike about this.

If you didn't cut the return hose its probably loaded the motor up with oil. I haven't seen one lock up on oil but if she's loaded the cylinders with oil it would pull the motor down and foil the plugs, My guess is that's what happened to your bike, you mentioned it started back up but was missing on a cyl, or two thats why it didnt have any power.Pull the access covers you will probably find the tb full of oil and have a mess to clean up/and plugs to change but not a blown motor. IMO. Dont forget to shorten oil line in the pan.. bill..

Ok here is the update everybody! I pulled Babygirl all the way down and found a shit ton of oil in the box. Cleaned her all up, dropped the oil pan again and cut the tube down! Now I only cut it about an inch shorter than the original pickup tube but once I got her ready to crank again, she locked back up! Now it is about 5 in the morning and I was getting pretty tired so I decided to call it a night. My Mech went to sleep about 5 hrs earlier so I'll wait till he gets up and off work to proceed any further. I have pictures of everything on Psychobike. I'll see if I can post the link for ya!

Night mare when you post a link you need to put url in brackets in front of the link and /url in brackets behind the link. It just the same way you link to post pictures except you use url instead of img...

OK for another update! I flew home to Houston for a little vacation but still ended up raceing. Just rode for other people though! Now as for the Bike. My friend Raymond has it and he pulled the plugs and turned the bike over. She turned over super free. Then he changed the plugs and she smoked like a chimney for a little while then cleared up very nice. I gave him the ok and he rode her around all day long with no problems. So thanks to all of yoru help, she is a ok. The motor is not hurt at all and I will be testing her real soon! Big Thanks to all my zx14 family for helping the little guy get back on board for the season.!
