the 07/08 blue uk 12's are a dark metallic
there's no paint codes for kwaks
so chances are the only differences are batch differences.

Its not a batch difference, it is a totaly different color. The 06 14us has a blue/red shade candy and the 07 has a blue/green shade candy. Thats the difference in shades between the bikes. They both have the same ground coat. I have painted both. Kawi does release a few codes just not all. They dont put then on the bike but you can get them if you dig deep. If you are in the uk look into NEXA Autocolor or PPG Global, both these lines have alot of kawi colors but not all. Most of the ones that I do I just custom match if we dont have a formula on file. Thats my job anyway, I am a PPG tech rep and feild trainer. The silvers are different as well. The 07 silver14 (non-US) bike is a bright silver like the 04 US 12 (I think its 04). The US 08 14 is a darker phantom silver like the 01 US 12. I just fixed a 08 14 last week and used some leftover 12 paint from my old bike (phantom silver 01). I had to make a small adjustment but it was pretty much right on.

Thanks Crashtech. The reason why i am asking is a guy is selling a silver 07 14 silver its not a bad price and it has low miles but it has the black grills on it and i was wondering if the 08 silver grills would match the 07 uk silver but shit it would be cheaper just to match the paint and have them painted after seeing the price for the grilles. I am in US-Maryland

COLORRITE !

whether you use their paint or not is personal opinion, but at least you can compare models and years for matches!

Yes, there website is good for color information ONLY! Trust my proffesional oppinion when I say there product is shit! It is made by American Paint whitch is a generic paint manufacture. There prices are so inflated it ought to be illeagal for the quality you get. Most reputable paint manufactures do have motorcycle colors. PPG and NEXA Autocolor have the largest selection and are great products. Beleive it or not PPG's premium line is cheaper then Colorite's poop. Trust me again when you have a problem with Colorite's stuff (color match, chemical interaction, ect) you will get no help worth mentioning. I know because I have delt with them before on a few jobs that clients have supplied the paint on and redone a few as well that people have tried to do therself with there stuff. Now I refuse to use there product at all.
