New Paintjob
I got my Plastics back from the painter today, I am very happy with the design but there are a few spots on the actual paintjob I am not happy with but the painter said that when the paint cured good to bring the bike up there and he would do some touch up work. I am really pleased with the over all look of the flat cleared black and red. Tell me what you think guys

BM, you gotta get some pics posted when you get it together. The matte black is just too cool.

Yeah the stripes are matte as well, I wanted the stripes to be Candy mettalic red like the fins WERE but the painter isunderstood me, but I think it turned out pretty well, I am happy with it. I am still waiting on the bike to get back from the shop, I am putting a New Velocity arm on it and we are in the process of finishing up the oil pan we got it done and did some testing and had a few problems with the swinging pickup so it was back to the shop to get it fixed. The whole thing should be pretty sick and FAST when we get it back together and set up

I took the plastics to the painter and they did all the prep work, I didnt pay anything for the entire thing. The guy that owns the body shop owed my dad a big favor before my dad passed away and when I mentioned to him at church I was getting the bike painted he insisted on letting him do it for free so I did. I probably could have gotten a higher quality paintjob somewhere else if I would have wanted to pay but I figured I can deal with a few LITTLE errors for free!

Looks too flat, maybe 20-30% instead of 0. Cant beat the price though, like the stripes.

I have done so much over the winter I cant wait to get some descent weather and see what it can do with some consistently good riding...

It has a flat clear. Dubious- ok here we go this has all been done over the winter, Of course the oil pan (still getting finished up) Carpenter head, Ape Valve springs, milled the head (compression est. 13.5/1) , degreed the cams, new Velocity Arm 68in max wheelbase. WIndow Switch and progressive nitrous controller, new rear spring (thanks Trac Dynamics) the paintjob, BMC filter, Muzzy timing advancer (probably getting either the TIC1000 or Ignition module before feb 23rd.) The next big thing is probably going to be a set of Galespeed wheels hopefully before the 23rd of febuary but I am not sure. Still have the 50 shot on it. may go wet in the next month if I can afford to put some rods in it. If I can afford a set of rods I want to run 100 wet shot that will put it a little over 305 HP it is right around 255-260 now on a dynojet 250i... I am aiming for 8.30's on nitrous but it is gonna take a helluva rider with great conditions
