zx-14 Sato rearsets

Has anyone installed Sato rearsets on their 14 yet?

Why aren't they delivered with heal guards? Motomummy.com suggested I contact Sato directly. I'll give that a try.

Any advice or details on installing? I expected a little more detailed instructions, but I think they'll suffice.

Thank you.

i've not much experience with Sato, I've always been a fan of VORTEX.

Let me know how they stand behind their product please, I'm thinking about trying Sato rearsets on my Yamaha

Steve,

I emailed Sato and they responded right away saying they don't make heal guards for the zx-14 and that's why they were slightly discounted from sets for other models. The guy did say that some other bikes only come with a left heal guard, but not a right....not sure why this is unless they don't feel like putting in the extra engineering to match up to the stock mounts with the master cylinder.

I have the gold rearsets and they look first rate. Vortex are nice, but these look so much better. It will probably be a while until I get them mounted,...but sometime this winter. When I do, I'll educate myself on posting pictures on this site.

The gold Sato rearsets are a great match to my gold Pazzo levers with black adjusters.

I couldn't believe the gold Sato rearsets weren't on zxbob's bike...

I'm hoping to have some gold wheels one day...I don't think I'll run into zxbob since I'm in OH.

I got the vortex on my 14. I spent a little time getting them adjusted the way I wanted, but I like them better than stock. Shorter throw when shifting is what I like best.

Installed them on my 06 about 12 months ago. Very nice fit and finish, no heal guards either.
