First bike with an arm for me... I love it!
My 6 inch arm has made a world of difference...
6000 rpm launches and twist it wide open every gear!
Put it this way... at 100 ft I have over 50 ft on a stocker! LOL

Chip Ellis went 9.04 @ 155 on Brocks 06 zx14 bike at Gainesville in a head wind ....If there had been no head wind the 06 zx14 may have been the first bike into the 8s....I'm sure Brocks bike will go 8s this weekend but so will Rickys 08 zx14.... Who will do it first ???? hell if i know ... I just know it will happen .......

Or past it. Those runs on the ZX-14 were done with the Smeg, right?

Does Brock's drag racing kit for the busa include the clutch mod? Didn't see that listed up there.

This is the complete email from Brock...

Here are the current modifications to Chronic :

Brock's Performance Alien Head Exhaust System
Dynojet power commander IIIusb with Brock's "Maxton" map
Dave O prepped Innovate aux box kit ( LM1 Basic + LMA-3)
Brock's Performance "bare necessities" drag race kit
World Wide Bearings ceramic wheel bearing kit with low tension seals and aerospace lubricant.
Richie's Tires/Michelin pilot power race 120/60 front 190/55 rear
(Stock tires are Bridgestone Battlax BT015 120/70 front and 190/50 rear)
Ohlins Hayabusa (99-07) top mount steering stabilizer kit
Vortex sprockets (stock 18-43 ratio) for GSX-R1000 rear wheel
Spiegler brake lines
Regina ZRP Series "Brock modified" chain
Chicken Hawk tire warmer
Tiger Racing "Brock modified" aluminum chain guard
Schnitz Racing (Brock Modified) billet triple tree (top clamp plate)

All else is stock except oil (Alisyn less than zero weight) and VP MR9 fuel.

Some stock items were removed (no air cleaner) to save weight or as instructed by tech for safety reasons at Maxton etc. FYI: the stock exhaust system weighs 47 pounds?! (The Alien head system weights a little less than 10 lbs.) We have not cut the seat or added any front end ballast. We are still foot-shifting with stock wheelbase.

Attached is Richards first/only pass today. He is so busy riding other bikes that I didn't even have time to tell him where to shift the bike on the tach before he ran...so he short-shifted like we found to work best with the stock exhaust. This leaves about 10 horsepower unused with the new exhaust allowing the bike to pull straight to the rev limiter. Still... 9.06 @ 155.83 is not to shabby for a first pass J. The conditions are good, but nothing like Atco.

We are trying to become the first stock bike with bolt-on parts to run in the eight second zone. The record at the moment is 9.04@155.69 by Chip Ellis on the Diary 1 ZX-14 last year at Gainesville.

I will be riding Chronic in Street ET this weekend to have some FUN!

I will keep you posted on the progress.

Brock

It says the 06 is faster than both so far with the same rider, 06 zx14 9.04 rider Chip first pass windy, 08 Busa 9.12 rider Chip first pass good conditions.

I, +1 on it, but never have said in any post the 08 14 was faster than the 06, just compare the 1st pass to 1st pass, it's easy, apples to apples, same rider, we all know the weekend is not over or the year for that matter.

08 busa ran a 9.06 11/08 in gainesville

not much difference, but one bike did it two years ago

My point was you have someone saying the 08 busa is not faster then the 06 14,but it's the same person thinking the 08 14 is so fast and you +1 on it. some of you should stop and think before posting. by the end of the weekend the 08 14 might have the best time but it might not. and when did chip ride the 08 busa today?
