Poll Question:
'08 Busa verse 14 dyno shootout? Whats it worth to you to find out?

This flame war needs to friggin end, and I think I know how. I'm willing to give away $50 to the winner of 2 dyno session runs between the 14 and Busa. If enough others toss in a few bucks each this could get to a number high enough to make it work. Here's my idea:
Need to have both bikes with roughly the same miles (minimum of 1000) and break in style to ensure they are on an even footing. First dyno session has to be bone stock. Second session after basic but identical mods on each bike. Minimum of full exhaust and air cleaner removed up to whatever both owners agree on.

The catch is I can't moderate this living in Washington State, will probably need someone from Cali or Florida. Need the moderator to hold the money and verify condition of each bike before the pulls- someone who knows where to look to ensure fairness.

This is probably the only way this whirlwind of BS and flying numbers will cease. I dont even care which bike wins personally. The winner gets the spoils, half for first session, half for second. To win requires ? 2hp ? edge minimum. If tied split money?

Feel free to input your .02 cents about rules/etc. to make this work. And can a moderator link this to the Busa forums?

Here's my 2 cents.

I love my ZX14; had the 06 now the 08. Suk-zuki blows and pales by comparison. 1 HP here or 2 there, who cares? The ZX14 does most everything better than the Busa; brakes & handles better etc...

They can dyno the fucking bikes all day long -- the results will go up and down from one Dyno/Day/Tuner to the next. They are the same for intents and purposes. Kawi didn't get beaten by Suk-Zuki or vice versa. Mine has at least 4-google horsepower anyway... LOL

Yeah Im just gettting really tired of hearing the hyped up BS threads (almost all by Busa lovers) claiming outrageous numbers. And the corresponding posts saying how one or the other has "WON" the HP wars.

And I got $50 in my paypal account I didnt know I still had... lol

I would not worry about it, your contest will not mean much too many otehr variables like how do you possibly no how each bike was broken in, the oil, the tires and on on

Sad reality of message boards for some time. Why I'm and out so fast and seldom post too much drama and bs

Dyno numbers don't tell the whole story. Power/torque spread and getting down the track the fastest is what it's about.

ZX-12R had been the dyno king since 2000. It didn't mean shit.

Well put !
The dyno does not corner, brake or make me smile, like the 14 every time I look at it.
I know styling is a matter of taste..... Butt... that new Halfabusa tastes like crap to me :P

Put your bike where your mouth is then Bentley! You just bought a new Busa, right? Go find a guy in your area with a new 14 then! Dont talk smack on this thread when you happen to own a possible candidate but wont put it up there on the dyno next to its competition

Why do we have to find out which one is the best?
Both bikes are no joke. As a Kaw owner I dont need my ego stroked
by a dyno telling me that my bike is making more power.
Nor will my ego be hurt if the 14 isn't making as much power as the busa.
Fact is there will always be something that or someone else out there who is faster.

To anwser the question on the thread, its not worth anything to me.

First of all I never talked smack in this thread, so lose the frickin attitude. FBA said the 14 out brakes and out handles the Busa which I said 99 to 07 is correct. Now the 08 on the other hand is totally different. Maybe instead of posting worthless ass threads you should go read my review I did, that was no BS the 14 was better in a few areas as I stated. And I've never bad mouthed the 14 on this board or any other board for that matter because it's a kick ass Bike. Sorry I like the looks of the 08 Busa 10 times better then the 14 thats my opion. I never said anything about hp. Even though my Busa stock made what my 14 did after mods. And sorry as I can't take you up on you bet because the 14 will still be at the dealer ship half way thru the summer. Sorry but that's the way it is around here. they plain ass don't sell. maybe the 08 14 will change that but I doubt it. We orderd 3 06's And I bought the only one before they were leftovers, then the other 2 sold. He only orderd one 07 and it had to be marked down before it sold. He only orderd one 08. orderd 6 08 Busa's and 4 are gone. I'm not one that bought a Busa because everyone else has one I like all bikes. It just kills some of you to know that they are going to be even. After 1700 post I'm about to say good by to this board which sucks because I'm a hp man and drag racer and love posting and reading others results. And I've meet some people on here even though not in Person(yet) that I consider a freind. (smokin) along with a few others that I have met in person. (motormania) Oh ya and don't be shocked when My Busa makes over 200hp with Brocks system! hoping to go back and dyno tomorrow.

That means -- Does It Look Like I Give A Fuck? All I know is that my 14 hauls ASS! Is it 1 fucking 10th faster than the Hayabunga? Do I fucking care?

Ride the fucking things...who cares if it gains a millimeter over a Bunga or vice versa in the 1/4...:P

Seems like alot of us here care about 1/4 mile times just because you don't. that's the reason I buy big bore sportbikes not for the cornering.
