These are easy to install. Get the model specific harnes only about $20.00 more and you are good to go. If you need anymore assistance let me know. As far as price I have not seen them any cheaper than 299.99 but you might get locky. Get the upgraded remote which is shock resistant and waterproof. I have used there alarm for the last 4yrs on three different bikes and I am really pleased with then and there customer service.

Hey Sigma - Has the Scorpio alarm ever save any of the bikes you owned from getting stolen?

ive had a chatterbox and a scorpio alarm on my zx12, both were pieces of shit that i ended up ripping out. i installed them back in 03-04, so maybe they have improved since then? i had the deluxe version with motion sensor, mercury switch and i think even had a pager. i used to install car audio, video and alarms, and i cant say that i reccomend them.

The truth is a real thief if the want it they will get it. None of my bike have got stolen with the system on. Me personally I don't leave my bike out in the open for long if I'm not close to it. Alarms are a deterent not a gurantee. I would rather have something on it to bring attention to the bike that mayber the wrong person is messing with than nothing at all. The alarm allows you the option of a ignition disarm so you can not start the bike while alarm is armed. If you leave key in ignition but armed the alarm it will go off and this requires no extra or optional parts it is standard.

I was considering getting that even though most thefts involve a couple guys lifting the bike and putting it in a truck, but I'm like you and I do not leave it out of sight unless it is completely unavoidable. Does the pager system work?

Yes pager works pretty well. I was in Myrtle stayed in a condo which was seven floors up and some of the guys I new as a joke set it off and it paged me. It only works in a mile radius though but I usually don't leave my bike that far without using some other method of security.

The pager system works very well for me. Very good range. I am on the 4th floor and can activate or deactivate from my loft. It's a real piece of mind. I use the steering lock, a massive 14lb chain, and the Scorpio Alarm, as well as a cover. Nobody messes with it.

I found mine (all options version) on Amazon.com for 280 shipped w/ Kaw harness included last year. I highly recommend this alarm, pager works very well too.

Wow! That's freaking CHEAP!!! I am definitely going to get one now, and with the engine cut-off. Can anyone think of any reason why getting the engine cut-off feature might inhibit the bike? I thought I read somewhere before that I should not add that feature.
