Does anyone have the steps for doing this and does it make a positve difference in engine cooling performance?

In scorching FL I still have the factory coolant in my ZX14, heat has never been a prob for 13000+ miles. But I use engine ice in the track bike, and prolly will the 14 when I change it. Like any fluid change run a little trough it a few times and get the old out and it should be fine
there's a formal procedure in the 14 service manual

Its a pain in the ass. I drained as much as I could then just stuck the hose in the filler cap, opened the drain and ran it until it was clear. The filler cap is in the most difficult position to get to. Its under the ram air cover hidden, out of the way. Make sure you have a nice long thin funnel to fill it back up with..

I got engine ice in my ride for the past 2 years. No difference in temps. It's more for track use because of clean up, as in what steve uses it for.

i used in in my 12 and there was a noticeable difference. averaged at least one bar lower in the city and stayed in the middle to one below on the highway. but the most noticeable thing was how much quicker the bike cooled down once you started moving. bike had to sit running a lot longer to get the fans to come on. and the went off sooner also.'
and yes it does clean up very easily.!
