Busa still has advantage
Busa still does not have to split cases to do pistons, a very big advantage and quicker job. So all the zx-14's with naked chicks on them better watch out.

If you are going to build a motor and you don't know how to spilt the cases you better sell your bike .. You put a set of big bore pistons in your busa and don't spilt the cases and check to bearings or add a good set of rods your asking for trouble ... If you put a stroker in either motor you have to spilt the cases ... I see no problem here .....Next .....Smokin..

Oh one last thing ,,ask any top engine builder a 2 part block is stronger and will handle more HP that a 3 part block ...Less block twist , No studs to add and better sealing of the gaskets .. I could go on and on but that would be over you head tru195..... ..

I sure would not worry about the three part block in the Busa there are plenty of high HP Busa's with no engine trouble.

I'm not saying the Busa motor is not good, we all know it is good ...I'm only telling him the zx14 block is as good and will handle as much HP and possible a bit more with no problems ......Geee don't read something into it that's not there ...I'm not putting down the Busa motor only telling the benefits of a 2 part block ...All the zook 1000 use a 2 part block and you don't here them crying when they build Big HP motors ....It's not a big deal to them 1000cc shoot out bikes ..

smokin wins again, love the response and rationale.
on a side note i saw my first 08 busa at the lot last night it was metallic charcoal or something like that, not impressed with the looks, the front looked a little pregnant and the rear was, well it looked like the bike version of the rear end of a volkswagon. the guy was just out cruising, saw it again in ybor. to each his own but to me the 14 in any year is far more appealing, and we know it performs even without clutch mods.
