2008 Oil Change How-to!!!
So the argument goes that the Busa is soooooooooo much easier to work on.
I found this oil change how-to for the 08 Busa on H.Org and thought I would do the same for the 08 14.
It's complete with pictures and plastics and fasterners are everywhere.

OK, what you've been waiting for.
Here's the how-to for the 14:
1. Remove the drain plug and the oil filter.
2. Replace the drain plug and install new oil filter.
3. Add oil.
It is CRITICAL that you don't get steps 2 and 3 reversed!
If you need pictures, you're already in over your head! LOL!
____________
You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

I can do it without removing any body work on my 600rr.....but the ZX-14 is still easier.

BUT in all fairness to Suzuki, I bet their bike doesn't slam the drain plug and get it caught on trailer floors and such like the Kawi. I think the oil pan on the Kawi is a poor design, almost as poor as the 4 cheesy screws to hold the back seat cowl on.

Easier is better...
The 14 is simple and quick. Great that you don't have to drop any plastics to do it. '06 Yamaha that I had before the 14 was close but mine also has a centerstand so oil change and chain lube can't get easier. Well done Kawi.
Ride safe....

Love changing the oil on my 14. So simple and easy. I could change it every week. Kudos to Kawi for that.
