Wheelies "how to" Please contribute. Good day.
I seen a kid lift up the front end and then hit the rear brake and hammer the front end down.
Yikes.
1. You shouldnt do this on public roads. (ticket)
2. Find pavement that is empty and has no traffic.
3. Does anyone rec a damper for this type of activity?

Try it on a 50cc pit bike first they are the easist to learn on and if you go down your doing like 10mph...and honestly i hope you didnt buy a 14 for wheelies.

And we wonder why some bikes are breaking frames! no matter who is designing them. I know wheelies should not and usauly does not damage frames? But slamming a big street bike like that is definetly going to break something. Bill ...

I thought just kids ask "how to" on wheelies. Kind of self explanatory with common sense; definately from someone with a zx14.

1. Cut a hole in a box.
2. Put your junk in dat box.
3. Slam a sledgehammer on that box.
That's what your frame feels when you drop the brake on a 12 o'clock.
Power wheelies are so easy on the 14 - it's like a big KX500. Easier when the flys are pulled, and hard to avoid with the SMEG.

Nothing I've heard about yet, but I have all the power I'm going to need on the C14. I really only use it for 2-up and when I want fast and solo, I use the ZX....

wheelie how to: rev it to the redline, dump the clutch, switch on the traction control(quickly)
seriously, give it the gas in first gear, that will do it

Take the front wheel off...Really hard to explain how to wheelie...Feathering the clutch on most bikes work but on the 14 that little black thing on the right that goes round and round turn it hard...

Hold in the clutch while going about 10mph and rev it up to 10k rpm then just dump the clutch......it should be pretty easy to bring it up.

A decent motor will get the front up with throttle and a gentle tug on the bars, with less power you're going to need the clutch. Caution though, the 14 is low and there is a danger of smacking the sump if you drop the bike too hard and that will rip the oil drain plug out, especially on a slammed bike. It's not exactly good for the fork seals either, so controlled wheelies and down gently is the order of the day.

are you sitting far back on the seat?
what happens on mine when pinned in 2nd is it pops up and tank slaps me if I'm sitting far back, and spins the rear wheel if I'm too far forward

I'm sitting up on the seat I guess. I do get tucked behind the windscreen as I crank down on it. That might be why, I don't know. I do weigh 200 lbs.

Great video, Steve, thanks! I personally don't bother with wheelies on these types of bikes because that is how you dent-up your perty little speed limit breaker. I've witnessed one too many riders go down on their custom Busa's and Ninja's because they want to show-off to the hotties at bike night events.

glad you enjoyed it, best wheelie instructions I've seen to date. I try not to wheelie but tank slappers on the 14 are inevitable.
