Alien Head exhaust Vs Smeg test

Alien Head exhaust test

I wish i could have done this test the same day but that wasn't in the cards ..Last week we had a cool front come in , Temps in the Low 70s at night and Very low humidtiy 30 % and that is low for FL.. The track the weds night was hooking very good , wheelies were a problem because it was dead hooking .. My best run last Weds night was 5.74 @ 124.11 with a 1.41 60 footer ... That was on my last bit of U4 fuel ...

This Weds Night things could not have been more different !!! Temps in the 90s and they still were in the high 80s after sunset with 84% humidtiy and it just plain sucked .. The track was crap !! JesseJames , Steddyteddy and me were spinning more than half way down the track .. One run Steddyteddy spun the hole track !!!!! Around 9:00 the track came around and if you found the right line you could lay down a good pass ...I had run out of U4 fuel and was unable to get more for tonights testing ..I had about a 1/2 gallon of U4 left in the tank so i added 1 one gallon of 89 pump gas to the remaining U4..

End of the story is this tonight with all things going wrong my best run was a 5.72 @ 124.75 with a 1.40 60 footer ..... Alien Head exhaust Went faster than the Smeg with worse conditions and a less powerfull Fuel ....I'm very happy with the outcome and the look of the Alien Head exhaust is the icing on the cake ... People all pointed to it and said ( hey that is that New Alien Head exhaust from Brocks )... The Alien Head exhaust sound like Brocks Sidewinder as to goes down the track ..It seems no louder to me than the Smeg but does seem to have a deeper tone that the Smeg ... All and all it was good night ....Smokin..

Smokin,
Thank you for the report. Looks like our horsepower homework paid off for you on the track like it did for us!

I am at the manufacturing plant in Canada right now with my ZX-14 curing a small problem between fitting the Alien Head conversion kits to the earlier systems (with tight oil filter clearance) to the later models with more clearance.

I should have everything sorted out by the end of the week and I hope to have all ready to ship very soon. We sold out of all of the systems in stock after we made a change to them at our facility.

BlackMagic-Yes on the balck ceramic thermal coating! I suggest calling my office and getting placed on the list as I'm sure this batch will fly out the door also.

Lee can make that bike F-en fly! Yeah the track was good at the starting line but just got worse from there. I was playing with NOS and could not get any traction at all down track so I gave up and just ran motor. Lee should be doing consistant 5.6's on motor once the weather cools down some here.

Does anyone know if the Alien Head will be priced competitively with the Smeg, or is it going to be much more expensive because it is new?

Thanks Smokin'. Always looking out for the underdogs.

What I wonder though, is it that since the Alien head kit uses the shorter mid pipe, is that the reason it makes more power over a regular SMEG using a longer mid pipe? I guess I can buy one anyways for my own test but I do like the SMEG being round better.

Brent i don't know if it's the mid pipe or shorter muffler or both...Even Brock was suprized it made 2 hp more than the Smeg on his dyno test ...It's half the weight of the Smeg plus you can toss the the rear pegs ..The weight loss should help a bit ....Smokin...
