2008 'busa in Tampa
Barney's of Brandon has a 2008 busa as of today if anyone is interested. Ask for Moke. He posted it on a local forum and is good with many of us, please ask for him if you buy it.

It may be ugly but it's fast as hell. In fact it's faster than the current zx14, we'll have to see about the08 14.

To ugly for me i guess my slow assed zx14 will have to stay around a little longer.... I really like the new zx10

I told everyone when I bought my 14 I was only keeping it a year max. So didn't do anything anything to it. Here I am a few years later looking at the new '08 bikes and still prefer my 14. Now its time to do a fender eliminator, smoked windshield, pull flies, powdercoat heelguards and such black to go with the red, replace the homo rubberized footpegs with real ones, and all the other stuff I could've enjoyed having done LONG AGO if I'd have had some faith in the bike holding its own for a while.
Oh well, at least I bought a limited run red one!
Smokin', I might put a litre bike in the garage too, but holding the 14 as far as big bikes go.
FBA, I nevah, evah, would dream of being a  !!!

No I'm perfectly fine it's all the other idiots that don't understand the 08 Busa and 08 14 will be so close on the track you won't tell the difference. But yet it still comes from both sides the 14 this or the Busa that, get over it there is two bad ass bikes in town now. it will come down to rider! And every bike is ugly to someone. Hell you want to talk ugly how about the white and now the black 14 with flames, those bikes grew right on the ugly tree and were picked right before shipping. oh ya and the bananna seat looks like shit to when the seat cowl is not on.

Bently all that is true but doesn't change the looks. I think both the 14 and the old busa are ugly compared to litre bikes such as the R1 and Duc. But this new busa is so hideous I don't care for it in my garage. I was waiting to trade for a new one, was hoping the redesign would happen in 07 actually. But this new bike I just don't appreciate, no matter what the numbers will say or how bad it stomps and romps.
And I so agree the banana seat on the 14 is crap but at least its covered. That is my biggest beef with my 14.
So with both bikes so equal in performance, I'll have to keep my old '06 clunker 14 yet another year.

d zx14 may have fallen from the ugly tree .... but there isn't enough bags to cover the ugly on the busa ....

ya shit like that is funny hell I love seeing some kid on a 600 smoke a 14 at my track in the 1/4 that shit is off the hook. we have a guy at my track that can't run a 10 sec pass on his 14, those bikes are so slow.
