16tooth fronk sprocket good?

Sold my busa have a 07 14 full tsukigi system, flies out, powercommander had the bike tuned at GPC performance and I am still not happy with the bottom end power. I guess I was into doing wheelies and such and was just wandering if this is that big of a step up on the 14. I could wheelie the old bus pretty good. It just seems like th 14 is way overgeared to me. I normally go up in the back.

I have 16/43's. Bike is a monster down low...power wheelies in 1-3 with no effort or clutch assist.

I use 16/41 in the drag strip and seems to work very well as you can see ...I never have had my zx14 with that gear on the street...On the street i had 17/41 and my problem was i could never keep the front end on the ground....

1. Most of the people on this Forum have had Busas... When you say that you are not happy with the bottom end power of the 14.... I have to ask... what mods did you have on your Busa?? The 14, (with flies out) definately has a better lower end on the same set up Busa. So I am not sure what you are comparing it to??

2. The 14 may be a bit overgeared... however, the 14 is not made to wheelie. In fact, it is made to NOT wheelie. What good is a bike that you can only give half throttle because if you give it more you are on one wheel?? (unless you want to do wheelies... and then get a litre bike) When you think of the horsepower and torque that we have... it is amazing that it is not always in a wheelie... so I think they did a great job in the balance of the bike. Also, they are making a bike that is not just fast... but gets politically correct gas mileage etc... plus.. anyone can buy this bike... and if they set it up for the seasoned rider... then the 'rookie' is going to be in a world of hurt. But I still say that if you feel that the Busa had better low end with the set up that you have now... then I think you got a lemon.... Just my opinion... Have a good one. PS... Muzzy full ti, flies out, PC3 with no other mods... and I can easily bring up the front end in 2nd gear, (7000rpm or so) and with pipe and PC3 on the Busa... I could get a foot or two in 2nd. The 14 I can take it over if not careful, (just trying to give you a point of reference for your bike). First gear I can 'make' it wheelie at 4000 with a quick wrist flick... and if I full throttle roll on the front starts to rise at about 8000-8500... I usually shift at that point... (I don't race...) Last thing... what color is your bike??? The black bikes are the fastest 14's.... LOL

My busa had cams, full yosh system, tre, small box mod, bmc race filter, 42tooth rear sprocket. I guess there not that much different it just feels like th busa had a quicker throttle response than what the 14 has. A couple things I really dislike about the 14 is the heat it put off, and the total lack of storage space under the seat. I really wanted a liter bike but the wife likes to ride so she made that call, just not enouf room on the back of one of those. I dont wheelie all the time but my buddys are probably the best riders in the area and everytime we go out there ripping 3 mile wheelies. I dont care what anyone says but that shit is cool. I am pretty responsible when it comes to riding but I still ejoy riding a nice wheelie on a succluded strait road

16/41 seemed best for me on the street.
16/43 was lighting up the tire instantaniously.
I have mine lowered, so i would imagine it would become much more wheelie prone with stock suspension.

BB76 -- the 16 front will make a very nice difference. Just have to NOT whack the throttle WOT in 1st gear over 4K is all, unless you like landing on your ass.
