Kind of confused
Ok as you can tell, I'm looking to build the motor now. Just left carpenter racing. He has a 220 kit which puts you at about 1415ccs and a 225 kit that puts you at 1445cc. Now they both are the same price and offer the same thing in the packages so my question is what are the ups and downs for both of them. Let me go ahead and add that I will be running nitrous. Was thinking about a turbo but runs are not as consistant in my book with a turbo but nitrous is harder on the motor. Guess I need to find an experienced turbo tuner right!

i would think the 1415 would be more streetable easier to start and not apt to overheat as much as the 1445. But I thought the 1445 was more expensive then the 1415

+1
Personally, the head work cams, and JE pistons are real nice touches, I would consider stroked too, but not big bore.... My 2 cents.

build it with strong pieces at 215, then you can spray at will, plus you can always go bigger nest time if you need that, just my 2 cents

Spray will easily make up the 5 hp.
The bigger the pistons the less meat between and the more likely you are to have
head gasket problems.
I think the 1415 will serve you better with nitrous or turbo.

1570 STROKER Holy hell everybody will know you've been around because of the ballsack trenches dug in the pavement along with burnout marks. From the dyno chart shown on the website, the 1415 curve looks like the pull was done with the fly's in place.

For that kind of money you can turbo the stocker and yeild 250-285hp very reliablely.
Still run pump gas, drive it all day in the street,
if you are looking for consistant ET's invest in a boost controller.
Just don't get greedy with the waste gate,
the temptation to turn it up will always be there.
