PCIII - Worth It?
My 2007 ZX-14 is bone stock. I have no plans to put an exhaust on as the PoPo around here are strict on passing out tickets for every bike they find with an aftermarket. Do you think a PCIII is worth the money? I am not really interested in pulling the flies out as it would void my warranty and I have the extended and still have 3+ years left. I know that Kawi has detuned the hell out of these bikes so your opinion would be appreciated.

I would only get a PCIII if you are going to yank the flies...if you are not going to make any mods then keep it stock. By the way, pulling the flies does not void your warranty with Kaw. I have an extended warrenty as well. FYI

The bike is set up extremely well from the factory. No need for a PCIII if you are going to leave it stock.

If pulling the floes doesn't void the warranty?...Is it really worth doing? Does it make that big a difference in the bike?

Before my PC111 I had few friends and the girls wouldn't look at me. Today, after installing one, I am happily married with two teenage daughters.
Once you go PC111... you never go back. or is it black?
Makenna you don't need one... unless you want teenage daughters.

Based upon the search and reading I have done I think I will wait until I get a PCIII to remove the flys. This way I can get a custom map and not damage the engine.
Fly, I would give anyting in this world to have children...Even teenagers....That's a whole other story though...And one I am not willing to share....

Try this.... when your bike is cold... get it in a position where you can start it and give it heavy throttle right off the bat. You will feel how well the bike pulls. For some reason, when it is cold, either the flies open early, or it gives fuel right off the bat... ragardless, you will feel what the bike can do. I wouldn;t do it all the time... but just so you can get a feel of what it's potential is.... When you pull the flies... it is truly a whole new bike! (I have no idea about the warranty with the flies pulled though????) It almost seems that Kawasaki would not like that if you did have a problem. It is not too hard to take them out, and/or put them back in. The PC is about $250 on E-bay. Pulling the flies is free... and for the money... it is WELL worth it!!! (Unless the warranty is voided and you have a problem... but I can't imagine what could happen with a good map set up, even with the flies pulled.)

Need to see that in print, black on white. It is an alteration to the original design.
Modifying the exhaust may not be a problem but, intake may be a whole other matter.

So is modifying the exhaust. They would need to prove that the removal of the secondaries is responsible for the problem. For example, trying to deny warranty on leaking gasket because of the secondary removal. They would need to prove/articulate that the secondary removal caused the gasket problem.
