ZX-10 question

I know this is a 14 section but i know like me alot of you guys own a 10 to, and have asked alot of questions over here, i like and respect alot of you guys. i also posted it in the 10 section. so here we go

its an 06 with 3000 miles on it. pulled away from a stop really easy shifted into 2nd fine, and then nothing. i have tried everything i can think of, the linkage and everything is fine there is still spring tension both up and down on the shifter. its like one of the pins on the shift drum broke, or the fork thing that rotates the shift drum broke or fell off?? any ideas

(BTW i dident search on this.... i hate that search thing)

You still got a warranty on the bike? If not, you might be looking at alot of work.

I'm not familiar with a bikes shift drum and forks, but if it's anything like a 4-wheeler set-up, you have to split the case to get to it. I'd lake it to kawi and let them worry about it.

sounds like the shift shaft is broken.
Forks usually bend, but will enguage in one direction still.
