New Pilot Powers Onboard

Just put on a new set of Pilot Powers at 2900 miles. The rear Battleaxe was done, so I was just going to replace it, but when I got to the shop they were out of Battleaxes and had the Pilot Powers on sale. Steve swears by his so I said what the hell. Haven't got them totally scuffed yet but they felt really solid. Did a few exit turnarounds and hammered it coming out and they really seem to stick well. I kept the stock sizes, the front was 109.99 and the rear was 129.99. I can't wait to get some more miles on them. Love the new rubber so far.

My first set did so well I'm on my second set. I won't run anything else. Now, if you want a hi mileage tire DO NOT buy the pilot power. If you want the best grip its the only tire to run :P

got a good ride in early down to the skyway then did some ramp blasting, scuffed them in good, the grip and stability is incredible, very solid feel, caution they have only been to 170 but so far so good

I got the Pilot Roads. Anybody running those. I got them for the mileage. I use my bike for work and play. They seem to work pretty well for what I do.

Any Feedback from those who are running them?

Dunlop D209 GP-A on mine. Much more triangulated than stock and quite a bit taller on the rear. Had to go to 16 tooth front to get it in there. Turns really quick compared to stock set up but little less stable (imagine that). Much better feel and stick like glue.

I have run them (PP) as well. I liked them, althought the front was a little picky about lines in the road, not bad but noticiable. I'm running Diablo Stradas now, good wearing but traction only fair at best. Fun to light up at corner exits :d

Normally run Conti Road Attacks for the mileage. Good stick wet or dry and about 5k from a rear tire depending on how much play time I get. Went to Arkansas a couple weeks ago with 30 other sport riders to tear up the mountain roads. Decided to try the Pilot Powers to see why everyone raved about them. OK, I'm a believer now. The fast group was scary fast and I needed all the stick I could get. Zero chicken strips front and rear, 1794 miles, a shit-eating grin that lasted for 3 days, I was totally worn out and so was the rear tire. 1100 of those miles were slabbing to Arkansas and back. I definitely recommend the Pilot Powers for anyone whose 1st priority isn't longevity.

No doubt PPs are the best for traction/performance, and not for distance....

Pilot Power tires are for riding like this

and the distance tires are for riding like this

Got the Diablo Strada for mileage after my 014 only gave me 1500 miles. Had them 4000 miles now and they got 40% left, this includesa track day, ....ideal touring but find they are terrible on damp roads,....my next set, ..PP 2ct or corsa III....
