wheel powdercoat color?

A moron at my local bike shop scratched the crap out of my back wheel changing the tire Saturday. The owner, a very cool guy, agreed to take care of all the labor in getting both wheels powdercoated and pay for the process for the rear wheel. So, basically, all I would be out is the cost of the front wheel coating. I'd been thinking about changing the color anyway, so I guess it's not that big a deal. Even tho I was furious when it happened.

Anyway, I was thinking a silver variant. I liked this color on these brackets:

Any other suggestions? Save the comments on how I should change tires myself, please.

Hey tslewisz... Did you check out the rims on the 07's....their silver..maybe you can work out a swap of some type with dealer...or just check them out to see what silver wheels look like

If he scraped that brown color paint, he did you a favor. since the 07's have silver, I'd be unique and powder coat something other than silver or brown

Silver sucks. Everything is silver. I personally like the stock 06 color but if I was to get them powder coated. I would pick a rainbow color, not silver or black. Make it unique!

Hey tslewisz

Get the tyre guy to remove both the tyres again and polish the flat area on both rims and leave the original coloured spokes and centres - there are a few threads on doing this youself, I've done it and they look a treat.

I'm not up for the maintenance of polished rims. Besides, the jerkwad somehow managed to scratch the hub.

Okay, I heard don't do silver and don't do '06 bronze. I don't care for gold, much. That looks so 1983 to me.

I'd like to do a light color. The silver wheels on the '07's make them look 50 lbs lighter than the '06's.
