Do I need a TRE if I have a pc?
Well I pulled the flys & installed a pcIII, do I also need a TRE? I have a Muzzy full system with
Muzzy's map.

tre only opens the flies early...if you pulled them its a waste of money.read the forum for information. its the best place on the net to learn about the zx 1400 and how to make the fastest...faster.

If you've already pulled the 'flies, then a TRE is wholly unnecessary redundancy; the TRE as 'dbeading' stated simply opens the flies early, and since there are no 'flies for it to open it simply serves no function whatsoever; all you should need is the appropriate zx-14 map for your Muzzy full system without 'flies.

the tre makes the secondary butterflies open earlier(like the ecu would in sixth gear).
if you remove the secondary butterflies then you have no need for the tre.
the whole point is greatly increased low end performance. make sure you get a flies out map to insure your motor gets enough fuel with the extra air at these lower rpms.
a great reference to read would be brocks diaries.

Because Ivan wants you to buy a TRE, even if you don't need one. He makes good money on that little resistor.

The TRE6A just gets rid of the popping on decel by putting the engine in the "neutral" map...which you can do by just grounding the neutral wire instead...
