Sometimes old people panic and slam on the brakes when you come up on them too fast, it's happened to me! Almost killed me.

I am not sure if it was the same guy but I did see a white Ninja when I was in Largo, FL last weekend with some friends. We went over there to go to Adventure Island and we were in Largo visiting with one of my friend's Mom at the time. He was really opened up on the throttle and I twisted around because it was the first ZX-14 I saw all weekend. There were a lot of Goldwings and naked bikes, and a few sportbikes but they were smaller and older on average. I do not see many white Ninja's around... I wonder if that was him. Well, if so he died having the time of his life!

Not sure if you are referring to the Houston guy that wrecked at San Antonio Raceway Saturday, but if so, it was a black ZX-14, lowered with extensions. He wheelied off the line, came down and busted oil pan and immediately lost traction. Bike slid back and forth violently before crashing. Driver was slightly injured, but will be ok. Bike did have frame sliders and did not look in too bad of condition.

I bet its the white one we see at QSL because I'm hearing from the dealers they aren't selling many around here.

Then a few miles away we lost the 20 year old to the drunk dude Saturday night on the Courtney Campbell Causeway too. Tony I can't believe we pulled out of there 5 minutes before that accident happened.

I know, right. Too close for comfort. The sixteen year old girl was killed also when she walked in his path. This was another one this weekend http://tboblogs.com/index.php/newswire/story/motorcyclist-killed-on-collier-parkway/?imw=Y

You really have to watch it on this bike. The rest of the world seems to be in 'slow motion' when you are on this bike.
So easy and so quick to get up to 150 mph, let alone the 75 mph the police felt that this guy was going....................so easy to close quickly on slower moving vehicles.

Really sucks the guy died and I feel bad for his family, none of us need the 'press' that comes from these accidents.

Be careful on the street guys, we all have familes, this is a hobby, it is not worth any of our lives!

Never, ever go 75MPH at night anywhere, even on the interstate!

You could end up like the HMS Titanic on her maiden voyage.

A dark object slowly reveals itself out of the dark gloom, bam you're dead.

I understand. A women merges onto a four lane highway in a small SUV the other night and almost runs me into the concrete railing of a bridge two lanes away. She looks at me like it was my fault for her cutting across two lanes without looking. Maybe I ought to change my avatar. Thank God for these brakes. . . and his mercy.

This brings up the next question. Has anyone come across an air horn that fits 14 yet? I'm looking for one that will seriously wake these drivers up.

Not saying this about any of the deceased mentioned here but it seems like this time of year always brings A LOT of accidents, squids getting there new bikes and heading out with no idea of what they are doing!! I live by the adage "If I dont know you and know you CAN ride I dont ride with you PERIOD"!!! To many squids in groups I just hope these people had a relationship with Jesus for their sake, you never know when it is your time.

In regards to the Deaths. I hate to hear of any deaths. Life is short. Why make it shorter. Play safe.
I cannot lay blame on the bikes.
Only the end user's.
We must all strive to keep the hobby safe.
The bike really rocks. It will even rock harder after this fall.
You know the power these bikes generate. It takes more controll not to speed.
I dont have to prove nothing to anyone. Everyone knows its the fastest prod bike made.
So slow down boy's. It isant a race, unless your on the track. Then givr hell!

A few years ago I was doing about 160km 100mph down the highway and was day dreaming. I came up on a car doing 50kmh... I was on my FJ1200...I was not impressed.

As far as an air horn... Exhaust system. The louder the system, the safer we are.
People drive in a daze... Their response after taking out a cyclist is always I didnt see him.
Everyone asumes speed, due the the media and lack of information. Instead of the ass behind the wheel. Bikes always get a bad rap. I cleaned up 6 bottles of vodka in the ditch in front of my house. I was discusted. I left them on the side of the road, for everyone to see. The town came by and picked them up. Town beautyfication program. (crap) Nothing but a bunch of alcoholics driving around here. Everyone in jail or lost lic. Sad really.

B safe.
Spring is here in Ont Canada sand is an issue on the roads. Watch for it!
