I have the brown wheels, I'd like to use paint remover but it may take some red off and that would slow the bike down

WD40
Apply WD40 to a cloth/rag then clean your wheel.
Works like a charm.

WD40: Great for chains and wheels... not so good as breath spray.

Kerosene; won't stain or harm the paint, plastic or wheels and removes dirt just by spraying it on. I also use it for chain cleaning as it won't harm the o-rings either. Grime and grease start rolling off soon as you spray it on. A soft rag will finish it off for the hard-to-remove dirt and grease.

Diesel works well in a pinch, doesn't dry as fast as the kerosene though.

Honda spray cleaner/polish or Plexus a blue and white bottle very common in motorcycle stores. Spray on a rag first as the overspray is a bitch to get out from the inner wheel spars once it dries. I used a good quality wax afterwords every so often and no matter what type of chain lube or spray my wheels cleaned easily.

Thanks for the good info. It is appreciated. I need to make it look good, every bike night or ride I go on I'm the only 14. And last night as usual, the Busa owners were dicks. What's up with that?

Find a product called ESP. Some places called Prepsol. It's a preperation for painting surfaces like laminates etc. Idea is to remove greases to allow paint to stick.
1/ Wet wheel with water
2/ Apply ESP with clean cloth
3/ Let dry (bout 1 minute)
4/ Wash off with water soaked cloth.
NOTE
I use this method on polished alloys.

Sounds like TSP or trisodiumphosphate.

Honda Spray polish works very well....Apply it to the bike after washes and cleans the wheels really well between washes.
