ricksgsxr, are those roters better regarding braking distance, heat exchange of hard braking into the turns, etc?

my 14 fronts work so well I've been hesitant to change anything about them, even the brand of the stock pads

Braking improved but actually the 01 /02 needs a larger master cyl and would make quite a diffeerence in itself. I first changed the rotors and the weight savings was so noticble in handling not that I used the bike for handling but it did have 4-5" extension and that was noticible vs the stock wb until the wave rotors went on .

So i figured if 4 lbs (with ti rotor bolts on the ront and rear) made that much difference I need some wheels. Than guess what shows up on the newstand? Sportrider aftermarket wheel comparo... one of the best articles and I wish more magazines could do on l lsorts of aftermatket items. So bought a set from IndySuperbike.com it was just an amazing the difference it made.

My next bike will have NO MOTOR WORK just a pipe, pc and lighter wheels/ceramic bearings. Sick of the wait times on my engine builds. Plus technology is so good stock get almost the hp with a pipe/pc but pipes cost twice as much now...

Rick

My RIP Green Anole buddy demonstrating proper tucking process

Funny story and true

This guy first started on my in laws brand new trucks hood right on the windshield washer spray jets on the hood . Hit the water buttom bam! on the windshield next it was the windshield wipers and the lil shit would not fly off so crank up too max wiper speed that worked! and flipped over on my bike I ran and got my camera and he was all over the bike

"Kitty" was watching and planning everything and wasn't long after the green Anole was a kitty snack

Hi Rick,

Tonytooth, Bigdtd, H2****, Smokin', me and a few others live over here on the west coast of FL.

If you're ever over here, shout at us.

Of course next year lets meet up at Daytona. DaytonaDave on here, the staff, and a lot of friends of all us us will prolly be there.

If nothing else, I'll be hooking up a meet out there that includes the Daytona 200 on the ending weekend

iflyphi,
Will do, trying to get into the 50's first like it is.
I hear the mufflers are 35lbs give or take.

I saw a guy at the track that rode his in completely stock. Pulled off the mufflers(after they cooled) and immediately picked up a few tenths. He didn't hurt anything, and both the et and mph increased.

The slow progress the builder is making on my rebuild might be lucky too make Daytona 200 last race

The thing about the 14 wheels is their not even close to being light weight. I dont think they had racing in mind when it came to the wheels. There is alot more weight savings to be had replacing the wheels on a 14 compared to say a 1000. I'm going full CF BST's when i have the cash....

Regarding meeting everyone and hanging out bike week, watching AMA racing, doesn't matter if you have a bike ready or not
