just bought the 07 black one.
guys as some of you know i sold my 06 blue zx14 few months ago and waiting to get a black 07, well finally got it done. the place i got it from is about hour and half away but worth the driving because i got a good deal. the one i got is a 07 with 60 mile on it. the guy who bought it paid cash for it took it home and wife told him NO WAY.he rode it back and told the dealer the situation and they took it back and i got a good deal on it. i am paying 9900.00 for it + ttl. they won't charge me shipping and handling either. that is hell of deal. i did a little research on documents make sure that what the story they told me is not bullshit and it is not. i have to try to get a ride this week to pick it up since it is toofar away. i thought that was a good deal.i checked make sure bike has not been dropped etc... never got title either.
i already ordered my brocks street megaphone full system and p/c with map for no flies.should get it by early next week.
i am excited and i can't wait to pick up the bike soon( like a child) just have to beg someone to drive me there. this will be my birthday present to myself turning 50 in apr 25th.

Way to go! I just picked up my Black zx-14 today also, and like yourself the PC-III, Brocks street megaphone but I'm keeping my flies in until I finish the break in period. I paid a bit more for mine unfortunately but it's all good. I have chrome wheels on mine so they cost an extra bit of coin, I also got the tire/wheel coverage and prepaid service deal offered by my dealer that also padded their purse but I personally think it was money well spent, at least I hope it is.
Bits and pieces I'm hooking up to it in a day or so are: Tankslapper faring protectors, Muzzy frame sliders, scorpio alarm, Garmin Zumo, Muzzy fender elim, Helibar risers then I'm gonna find a decent screen. I would like to get a set of fatter billet grips w/ comfy padding, I have Rizoma grips on my Triumphs and I think they are phenominal, I dont know what the Big-Bore crowd uses. I dont plan to mod too heavily as I have three mouths to feed but these are a good start for me..
congrats to you and I on a great bike and a great color, that black sure looks stealthy..

I love my wife to death and respect her say in matters, but when it comes to bikes, she stays out of it 100%.I rode when we met and she understands that i will more than likely ride till its physically impossible to go on . .I did consult her when i bought our son a couple of bikes and all she said was "It will be your job to feed him and change his diaper" which was a reality check of sorts.

i bought my bike in the stealth mode, then there was a delay at the dealership and the fund transfers exposed my intentions to purchase the worlds fastest bike. i got some initial resentment and cold shoulder but things turned around. our first date was on a bike and i tried to tie it to the romantic thing.......bottom line is i will always ride.

Wait! Are you saying that the stock 06 and the stock 07 feel different, Shawnski? Can you mention how they are different?
And how much is the shop going to charge you for the work regarding the Smeg, Flies removal, and PC install?

no difference stock to stock but i was used to no flies on my 06 and when i rode the 07 home with flies in made big time difference. basically you get SPOILED.:P
shop will charge me install full exhaust system, p/c install and check the map make sure it is right and pull out flies for about 300 dollars. this guy does a very good job, i am going to him for last 6 years and been very happy with him. to be honest i like to do it myself and save me 300 dollars but no time and not very skilled either.
