Brocks Performance strap adaptor install Question.

Ok I bought a Brocks Radial Mount Strap Bracket Kit. Now I have a question. On my 14 the calipers the bolts recess in to them. If I place the new bracket in the caliper it will not have a flush surface to mount and may mar up the caliper and bracket. Have any of you ran into this issue? What did you do to correct it? I'm thinking of shimming the gap with some washers. Have any of tried this?

Thanks James

Mine came with washers to space them out.
Didn't you get instructions?

Yes came with 4 thin washers and nothing in the instructions on where they go. They are thin and still allow the bracket to flex. I made spacers and its working great. I plan on running the bike Sat 04/07/07 at the strip for the first time. I'm hoping to run a 10.50 or so. Do you guys think thats relistic on a Stock straped only Zx 14? Then when I was pulling the bike out of the garage to test the straps out I noticed a flat rear tire So I walked across the street to Cycle gear for a new one. OUCH 014 are expensive. as soon as the front is worn out I'm changing brands..

I ran 10.4X my first day on a track ever. No flies, slips 16/43 and no PC - 15psi pressure in the BT014. I've not had a chance to go back yet, but sure it will be a LITTLE faster :-)

The magazine guys in Vegas were getting better numbers when the bike first came out.

If you are good at launching then you should make it......good luck and post pics.....

I ran a best of 10.78 all other passes where 10.80 to 10.89 bike is all stock only front end strap. Im kinda disappointed but in time when I get more used to the bike I think I can do better.

still got flies?

Way easier to launch without em.
4-5000 rpm launches work perfect, and since its no longer restricted below 6000 RPM, you don't have keep it on the pipe and abuse the clutch

turbo you will need a P/C if you take the flies out....helps ajust for the increase in air flow....
