You'll probably laugh, but my best pass was a 7.69 @ 107. My 60 ft was 2.20. I was scared it was going to come up with me so I took it easy till about half track. After I got goin, I did go full throttle in second and third, but I didn't tach it past 8000-9000 rpms. I didn't get to make but 5 passes because people kept leaking shit on the track and they had to clean it up. I got tired of waiting around so I left, but I was getting quicker with each pass.

laugh? hell no i will not laugh at you or anyone that goes to the track and gives it a try ...I only laugh at the ones that tell me how damn fast they are and will never go to the track....Smokin ...

Oh, I know the addiction very well. I used to race my 69 nova there all the time. I also raced my zx6r before I traded it in. I can't wait to take the 14 back. I got some comments on the bike from people there. One guy asked me if it was a 1000cc. I said "nope it's a 1400". His eyes got a little bigger after I said that. He said "it's kinda tricky riding that clutch out huh?" I told him I was trying to keep the front wheel down. I'm thinking I can pass through the traps in second, but I'm not sure. I'll try it next time I go, which will be my next saturday off from work. Thanks for the encouragement guys! I'll post my new ET's when I get to go again.

Tons of so called FAST guys around here too but NEVER go to the track.
Keep at it man and you'll get faster. It aint the bike.

hey thats like my start was, but my times got lower the more I went. I'm still slow but thats cuz I quit going and practicing launching, not cuz of the bike.

Yeah, I feel like I'll be faster next time. Alot of my fear has gone. I thought it would wheelie real bad, but it stays down pretty good. It surprised me! I can't wait to go again

Yep! Hell, I wish I lived where yall did, alot more people into racing bikes. There's not even a 1/4 mile track around here, that I know of. That would be great to hit 140-150 in a 1/4!!!
