quote: what is your opinion on 16/43. i have not put my tire on yet, was going to use up the stocker, it is a tire fryer right now but when hooked in third, it sure feels good, don't have speedo healer yet, just unhooked it. what are you using for a shift lite
The 16/41 gears make it a hole lot easier to leave the line and i'm sure it helps clutch life ..I see no draw backs from 16/41 .....Smokin..

quote: Yeah Smokin', I have 16/43 gearing. Do you see any benefit for me being at 200#s with that gearing versus your weight/gearing? This thing is a BEAST on the street man. I ran two buds with '06 modded Gixxer 1000's and I left them in the dust of about 8 bike lengths and pulling had it not been for the thought of being caught by cops.
Hmmm. I might have to try the Track map too. I thought that you used the Maxton map one time and swore by it. Have you ever ran that Maxton map and ran good? What was the difference between the two maps?
Brent you may at 200 pounds need to go down just a bit more than me ...Maybe 16/43 may help offset the weight and help you 60 foot and 330 times . I have never tried the Maxton map, At first i had the street map and then i pulled the flys and went to the track No flys map ..I will test it one day and see if it helps .. Smokin..

How much gain do you think you got from the MR9? Also are you running the swing arm extentions from Roaring Toys?
KSPZ3
The U4 and MR9 seem to pick up a full or very close to a full tenth of a second ...I have not tried the NEW U4.1 fuel but i have been told you need to remap for the new U4.1 Vs the old U4 fuel.. I'm sure Brock will be working on a new Map for the new U4.1 fuel soon... My swing arm extentions are from Spencer Cycle and are 2 to 7 inches... Smokin..

quote: Great job Smokin'. Last night was awesome. I think the 14 was a hit with the crowd with you breaking the sound barrier and me riding wheelies down the track. I saw a lot of people huddled in the stands afterwards replaying the video of that run over and over. It was also cool to see a Red, Blue, and Black 14, each one stretched, making a showing. That was the first time that I've seen more 14s than Busas running at BMP. I know Kawasaki will sell a few 14s this weekend after everyone saw your run last night.
Burnout i wish i had the wheely pass on video !!!! All i remember is your front tire about 4 feet over my head ...lol....Maybe that video will end up on Youtube ....

Your almost as quick as this electric bike in ET anyway and a little quicker through the traps.....from 'The Kneeslider'.

The KillaCycle team has been working on their electric drag bike for some years now and it has gone through many evolutionary changes. Designed and constructed by engineer Bill Dube' it now has a battery pack from A123 Systems consisting of 880 2.3 amp-hr Lithium Ion cells. Each 3.4 volt cell puts out 150 amps! If you're not an electrically oriented person, trust me, that's a LOT! The cells connect to a Zilla 2K-HV motor controller, made by Cafe' Electric which sends a 374 volt, 1350 amp flow of electricity from the battery pack to 2 modified 6.7 inch Model L-91 Advanced DC Motors.
The bike weighs 625 pounds, uses about $.05 worth of electricity per run, can be recharged in 12 minutes, which is a charger limitation since the batteries can actually be recharged in 5 minutes, and it can make 6 runs per charge (not at full power).
What does it all mean? Last December it powered the KillaCycle to an 8.76 second quarter mile at 145 mph, a new record for electric vehicles of any kind, car, motorcycle or anything else. 0-60 mph is 1.4 seconds. Except for the whine, pretty quiet, too.
That kind of performance, impressive by any standards and improving fast, means we'll be seeing more of this kind of racing performance from a lot more vehicles. It also brings in a new group of racers, a group very comfortable with electricity, electronics, computers and all of the latest technologies which can only be a good thing. If you turn down the power on one of these motors the batteries last a lot longer, too, which brings electric motorcycles into the realm of practical vehicle. Electrics are getting closer all the time

8.77 1/4 mile on all motor is awesome...1.38 60 foot is too...next step could be a wheelie bar and stiff rear member instead of rear shock.. I probably would be happy as is but change would get even better times.... just an idea

For the record, Lee doesn't need the money for a pro ride it just would be nice to have a fully sponsored ride. My wording was wrong. I wish I had the time and money cause I'd back you in a heart beat.

Thanks Tony , Teddy and everyone else that had such kind words.. A sponsor would be nice and if someone asked i would not turn it down, infact i would jump at the chance !!..But i have to tell you at 50 years of age i do not think it's going to happen... Why would anybody back and old race horse when there are so many young Guns out there.....If it were my money i would back a young Guy or Gal because they look much better in pictures than me ... So for now i will keep doing what i do with the zx14 and try to get faster, test new speed parts and post the outcome.. Thanks again Guys for the kind words...... Smokin....
