Air Compressor install started for air shifter......
I bought the air compressor from Wal-Mart for $10 and took it completely apart from the case and mounted it under the seat like a few guys here that have shown me how they did theirs. I bolted the pump to the bike with bolts and the actual psi gauge that came with the pump kit is retained and can be seen by simply bending down to see how much pressure is in the tank for the shifter. So far, so good as far as testing the pump goes. I even reused the pump switch as well.

Sure and thanks. Nelson Taylor sent me a pic of how he had his compressor installed and it was in the same area, so I copied him.
I will take some more pics today as I have to take the bike damn near apart to install this stuff right. The psi gauge that you see is mounted upside down so that when I need to check to see if I need more psi, I just look under the tail section and turn the switch on which is also mounted just above the compressor. Basically everything will be hidden and neat.
BTW, if any of you are reading this and have used a compressor for airing your tank up, what is the max psi to use. I tested this pump and man that thing pumped all the way to 250 psi before I cut it off. It was going to keep going too. I'll take more pics and post here for anyone else that may wanna do something like this one day.

Great news then. The pump makes 125+ psi like it aint nothing so I'm good there.
Oh well, had to take the damn thing apart to install the Digi-Kill and wiring for the airshifter but I think it'll be worth it. I like the idea of the horn/shifter switch so that you can use either or. I painted the shifter RAM cylinder to match the bike too and give that stealth look plus the bottle is hidden. I have a new screen coming too so that is why the shield is off.

Looks good Brent.
I havent tried the system I have on the 14 yet but I usually keep the psi at about 120-125lbs.

Brent i used the same air pump from walmart on my zrx1200 ... It works great but i did have a problem with the hose that it came with the pump ... The line is just not made to hold 125 psi for any time ... I had mine split twice before i replaced it with braided line ... I'm just given you a heads up before you head to the track... Better to upgrade in now while everything is still apart... Smokin..

Thanks Nelson. I will get it to the 125 setting and keep it there.
Thanks smokin' for the tip on that. I do have plenty of extra -4 braided line as well to compliment that. Why didn't you go with an on-board compressor on the 14 this time?

Brent i like what youv'e done, I think that's the way I will go also, the black blends in with the frame real well to....some of the air shifter linkages are too big

icetee, the Muzzy kit was definately worth the price since it is as complete as can be and also uses the stock frame bolt to mount the top of the shifter cyliner RAM. Others require you to drill holes into your frame and all that. I fired the bike up last night and just gotta put the fairings and stuff back on, fill the bottle with compressor air and test it out. The Digi-Kill was a little tedious to do since you gotta take pins out from the PC III and splice all that stuff but wasn't bad at all doing so. I will add that once you connect the shifter cylinder to the shift fork and connect it all to the bike frame, tighten it all down and see if you can make manual shifts and see if the shifter goes freely without binding. Mine was binding and I had to slightly bend the shifter fork just a tad in a vise to get it to shift smoothly with the cylinder hooked up and tightened up fully.
